PA34 Senaca V HD Series for FSX | P3D

  1. Started by CODY614,

No sub forum yet, so here goes....I usually don't say much about their planes, but I will this time around. Right out of the gate...How did they miss this? Then moving on....Texture issues? My next question is...How can you get the "Message (Airspace Ahead)" to stop flashing? FSX has been around a while, right? and they had to program the "G600", so why not allow the "Message" prompt to be disabled? Yes it looks good...and I only spent about an hour with it...So far there is some annoying stuff going on.

I'm at normal cruise power at 7500 feet cruise altitude and my CHT's are 323 is that normal or does that seem a bit low?

  3. Started by Fleahead,

Install went normally as with my other Carenado airplanes, however the Seneca V is not listed in the vehicle list. Everything seems to be there in the SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado PA34_Seneca_V folders, but I'm not sure what all is suppost to be there. The install showed no errors or file access issues. Any ideas? I just noticed that in AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\SimObjects - all my Carenado have folders there except for the new Seneca V. I would presume that would be a problem, but why?

  4. Started by Fallenspirit,

I've tried installing this into FSX SE, Prepar3d v2.5, and Prepared v3, and I always immediately get an error after I enter my serial that says "error opening file for writing" and gives me Abort, Ignore, and Retry as the only three options, it does this for every file. I run the program as administrator. Its not just this plane either, the Embrair Phenom 100 I have from them and the Pilatus PC-12 do the exact same thing. The older carenado aircraft I own with the older installers have no issues.

  7. Hello to the Avsim community. I have been using AVSIM in a search-only mode for several months, and have now decided to join this active community. I am running FSX, along with the Carenado Seneca V add-on aircraft, FSAspen gauge back, and the Reality XP GNS 530W. I really like this setup as it does a nice job of emulating my actual aircraft. The Carenado Seneca only has a Virtual Cockpit mode, and the Aspen is designed for 2-D cockpits. And so since I can't embed this instrument directly into the actual panel, after loading up my flight, I add these as pop-up windows overlaid onto the view. This method has worked okay, if not ideal. But I just insta…

Hi guys, Good morning. I have an issue with the Seneca V. I takeoff using 28Hg manifold and 2500 RPM.. As soon as I cross 3000ft, both engines start losing power until they quit. If I go below 3000ft the engines come back to life.. very strange situation. I have been leaning the engine a bit while I climb, both fuel pumps are off on climb. I have full fuel on the tanks so fuel is not the problem. Any suggestion on what might be happening? Teo

Hey guys! Does any of you have a PFPX profile for the Carenado Seneca V? I have been looking for one around to be able to plan my flights. So far it has been impossible to find. Thanks much! Teo

I picked up the PA-34 during the recent sale and I just want to confirm what that rectangle is in the front windshield right in front of the pilot. Is that where the real world window heat would be? I think the Baron 58 also has that. If that's correct I don't think it's modelled in Carenado's (like it is in my A2A's). So if it is window heat and it's not modelled, is there an easy way for me to get rid of it? I'd just rather not have it if it's useless and distracting?

I bought the Seneca tonight and I have to say the default planes sound better than this thing so I replaced the sounds with those from the Carenado C337 since both use the IO-360 it sounds much better now. To do it all you have to do is copy the files from the C337 and rename them the same as the RPM sound files in the Seneca V sound folder and replace the crappy Seneca sounds.

This was quick and simple, but it works. Tested it changing to com 2 for ATIS. It shows up on there radios also which shows that it is only the click spot that was overlooked. You can change the size or whatever. I just added Window 06 so that is all that has to be done. I have windows 8 and works fine. Can anyone help with this. I have read the Carenado supplied guide and followed the instructions, but when I select CRS the MF knob does not move the CRS needle. The only function the MF knob seems to respond to is the HDG bug.

  15. Hi, I am using currently the Carenado Baron in my Homecockpit - but the recently purchased Seneca V ist much more state of the art and especially the lights of the Baron are not really as I expect them to be. I have tried to map the buttons of the Seneca using FSUIPC (paid) to my sim using P3D, but I had problems getting all to work. For example Strobes, Battery, Alternators to name just a few did not function. Has anyone maybe already found ways to integrate them all onto physical buttons? I am not experienced with LINDA but maybe someone has extracted already a list of lvars - with those I suppose it should be easy to get everything going fine in minutes. T…

Based on another user's question, I have tracked down why the G600 PFD does not show the correct OAT, and fixed it. If this is something that you would like to see fixed, send me a PM.

I'm not sure if this belongs in the Malibu forum or here, but I had some questions regarding Carenado's different MFD's. I recently upgraded to the Reality XP 430/530W in my PA46 and was immediately frustrated that the G500 MFD does not show the course line for approaches/navigation. This seems to be a common problem with that aircraft without a fix that I know of. Since I don't own the PA34, I was wondering if it suffers from the same limitations as the G500 in the PA46 or if Carenado fixed this with the G600 in the PA34? If they fixed that problem, has anyone tried putting the G600 into the PA46 at all? Also, the Flight1 GTN 650 does not seem to play nice with…

Hi everybody, I tried this afternoon an engine failure, and to my surprise, I couldn't feather the dead prop. After several attemps, I just gave up. Then I landed, and after the engine shutdown, I noticed the pitch of the props just don't change as you set the prop levers to feather... (on their Seneca II, there was no prb to feather at all) Thank you to confirm or maybe I missed something here? Concerning the ADF, I can't set the ADF needle on the G600!! Very annoying when making NDB approaches :-( I noticed the ADF module just don't switch from stdby to active freq... Maybe Bert can help on this one...? Thank you Emmanuel
