Hi all, I have never ever tried SweetFX or any other similar tool and now interested to do some experiments. Actually I had version 1.5.1 laying around on my machine, I tried it, but it prevents FS9 to start at all. Too outdated version against current HW & SW & driver versions I think... Ok, Now downloaded the latest 2.0 version. When looking compatibility list from reshade.me site, only FSX is mentioned. Is latest SweetFX + ReShade still compatible with FS9 and there is successfull user results with it? Also one thing regarding that manual installation procedure. Readme mention that .dll must be renamed, but then there is also that ReShade.fx. …

Hi, I had SweetFX working fine on my last PC, but I can't get it to run on the new one I have just bought. Both PCs run Windows 7 64-bit and both (according to Direct X Diag) are running DirectX 11. I recall reading somewhere about needing v.9.0c, but since the old PC shows DX11 and SweetFX worked fine there, I am confused. On the old PC, I had d3d9.dll and d3d9.fx in the main FS9 folder, as well as shader.fx and the 3 txt SweetFX files. On the new PC though, the d3d9 files cause FS9 to crash at start-up. Once I remove them, I am OK again. I tried with dxgi.dll/dxgi.fx (something about them being for DirectX 10 & 11, the d3d9 files for DX9??) .. no crash now,…

Hi. So I have occasional CTD with the d3d9.dll or ntdll.dll is shown as the faulting module in the crash report. Per CTD guide it is most likely caused by installation of SweetFX. Suggestion: Remove the D3D9.dll modules (there are several) from your main FSX folder. SweetFX installs the following files that should be moved to a temporary directory if problems occur: D3d9.dll, D3d9.fx, Dxgi.dll, Shader.fx, and the injector.ini. Hello I have my FSX after 5 years New set up. So OS and FSX + ACpack, DX 10 Fixer and Nivideainspector New Installs nothing more at the moment. Then I downloaded mr SweetFX and the Configurator of this page http://simtweak.com/ unpacked on the desktop. Start the Configurator and FSX selected .exe has also worked well data has been copied, but if I get the FSX Start FSX and the start screen of this starts to load and then go out easy. When I want to download the SFX configurator and click the link on the SimTweak page, I get a message saying: "Not Found The requested URL /download/common/sfx_cfg_portable_133.rar was not found on this server." Is the download server down, at the moment, or might something else be going wrong?

I noticed some differences between the SimTweak FSX NI profile settings and those recommended by NickN in his FSX setup guide - scroll to section 2 (his guide is based on older Nvidia drivers, I am running v347.25). NI profile differences - SimTweak in blue, NickN in red: Antialiasing Antialiasing - Setting = 4x [4x MS] = 8xS [Combined: 1x2 SS + 4x MS] Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling = 4x SGSS = 2x SGSS / Off (NickN doesn't seem to be a fan of SGSS!) I've used SweetFX and ENB in the past and it was somewhat of a mixed bag (day/night tradeoffs)...I was curious if there are any recent (2014-15) updates and setting recommendations available? Is it possible to get sunlight rendering or dynamic shadowing in the cockpit--similar to P3D 2.4--within FSX through the use of ENB? Thanks in advance. Rich Perry

Hi all, I have sweetfx running on my G74S laptop with DX10 which has been no problem with performance or graphics issue's running it since it's inception and have uninstalled it and reinstalled for various reasons many times with no problems, also running ASN, all Orbx, flight planners. etc, etc, but at the moment I am in the middle of setting up a friends lappy which is the exactly the same unit in every way with a complete virgin FSX install except for Steve's DX10 fixer but after installing Sweetfx on his unit all I get is the fsx splash screen then the CTD with no indication of what's wrong, re-downloaded sweetfx files a dozen times with no change, I have removed the …

hi all. Not much information in Steam forum regarding SweetFx compatibility with Steam. Just few folks reported SweetFx didn't work on Steam. Some folks recommend to use different software instead. Hi All, I have a weird situation. I currently run FSX in DX10 with Steve's Fixer. My PC runs win7 64 bit pro. FSX Acceleration, and my GFX card is Nvidia GTX 780 3GB. Everything works fine in dx9, but as soon as i switch, SweetFX stops working completely, i just dont get anything but standard fsx lighting. i followed instructions from the website and downloaded recommended files, but nothing... I would really appreciate any help as i am a bit frustrated haha.....what could i have skipped?

Hi, when I use Steve's DX10-Fixer with SweetFX and NVidiaInspector Antialiasing, my Antialiasing qualtity is bad. As soon as I turn of the SweetFX-Effects, my antialiasing is good again. What settings do I need to change?

I have been using SweetFX for quite some time and all works really well. However recently I purchased a copy of Banidcam to be able to film flight segments. Unfortunately the video when played back doesn't faithfully reproduce what I see on my screen, the result is more like a washed out default display without SweetFX and edges of aircraft, etc full of jags. Is there any way to resolve this? Thanks

Hi guys, Im running Windows 7 (64bit) with FSX and a AMD Radeon 7800 series card. SweetFX works great on my machine so far and I set it up to give the best effect in the Dash 8 flight deck. What I want to do is running my MFD on my iPad so that it is a bit bigger. With ENB it simply won't work as ENB crashes as soon as I drag the MFD to the iPad screen. With SweetFX I get a frame drop from 30 to 4 fps. Is there any solution to this problem, like forcing SweetFX to only run on my main screen and ignore the iPad? Hope you guys can come at help. Hello I have been using Seetfx with P3Dv2 with great results through all versions up to 2.4. Now all off a sudden it stopped working, it loads but as soon as I click the P3D menue the effect is gone. Hi, First m setup... I7-920 4Ghz, 6gb ram, nvidia gtx 660 2gb, windows 7 ultimate (64 bit). FSX, Steve's fixer, DX10 and sweetfx. I did the install and setup per instructions , in Steve's fixer and nvidia inspector. But I have noticed the screen flicker/turn grainy every time the top message bar (the green message bar is fsx) comes on. It just for a second or so, when the text appears o the screen. Is there any setting to prevent this ?. Its almost like switching from graphics to text and back... Thanks Hari

Hi, Just wanting to know if anyone who already has SweetFX installed/configured has also enabled Nvidia DSR. I have sweetfx and I have set it up per adi's instructions and find it working perfectly. Love the way it has improved the graphics... I now am hearing about DSR, and wanted to know if DSR can be enabled with SweetFX, and if anyone has done that and the outcome, plus specific settings to be applied. If it helps, my graphics card is a GTX 660 2GB, and with 1 x BENQ 24" monitor at 1920x1080p resolution. Thanks Hari

Hi, I installed the package from the website, followed the installation instructions...but I get screen tear when I pan around especially inside the cockpit of PMDG 777. My specs are 1. Windows version: 7 64bit Ultimate 1 2. Simulator: FSX DX10 (with Steve's DX10 Scenery Fixer) 3. Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB DDR5 4. I7 920 -4.0GHz OC, 6 GB RAM I have set fps unlimited inside the sim and have disable vertical sync control in nvidia inspector. Before installing SweetFX I had 8x in Steve's fixer, 8sgss in nvidia inspector and set 20fps in sim and inspector and had NO tearing.. Thanks Hari
