FS2CREW: PMDG 747 (Legacy Voice Control)

Hi ...I have a problem with engine start switches and APU lately . I do all the Procedures and when I want to start my engine I say " start 4 &3" FO say starting 4 &3,.... but nothing happens(I mean he doesn't pull start switches) then he opens fuel levers(4&3) the same problem with APU when I say "APU OFF" he repeats but never complies .I've got this problem since I installed my windows updates but I am not sure they are relating to each other !windows 7 fs9.1fs2crew PMDG 747 voice commander latest version thanks

Hi guys & gals.For those of you who, like me, are using a VRInsight MCP Combo Panel and have purchased the PMDG 747 Voice Commander edition, here's an edited keymap to make the panel work with the FS2Crew PMDG_747-400_Kbd.in provided by Bryan.You just need to back-up and then replace your old SFP2_MCP_PMDG_744X.dat located at C:\Program Files (x86)\SerialFP2\Keymap (that's the default location, of course if you installed your SerialFP2 in a different folder... well you know what to do) with this one:Download linkI hope that helps. I've just completed my first FS2 Crew flight (in full screen mode) but when I pressed the ALT button on the keyboard to open the menu bar nothing happened. I pressed ALT +ENTER which switched me to windowed mode and it had the menu bar at the top of the screen and so I was able to exit FSX. Perhaps the problem was due to my being in full screen mode and "Pause on task switch" unchecked. I don't want to run the Video Marshaller but I do want to be in full screen mode and have "Pause on task switch" unchecked. Am I barking up the wrong tree? Am I doing something stupid (it wouldn't be the first time!). I'd appreciate any help.Phil

I downloaded the FS2CREW voice commander for the PMDG 747-400 on 1st January 2011. Firstly this is an awesome add on to the PMDG 747. I flew about 5 flights following the Main Operations Manual step by step and the application worked flawlessly. On the 6 th flight everything went like clockwork until I ran the Runway Entry Procedure, that went OK and the Main Panel went over to Takeoff. Within seconds this display went to Rejected T/O without any input from me. At this point the Main Panel indicated that the program was in Decent Mode ( flashing star in top left hand corner ). HiEver since I installed fs2crew voice commander the EHSI and EADI are on for a couple of minutes than just go black . Everything else with both the 747 and FS2Crew works finethanks Lee

Is there a list of what is allowed and what isn't? I know the checklist aknowkledgments, but reading thru the manual I see certain key-combos, must be assigned to certain actions...ie Increase ALT, HDG, etc. Are there voice commands that allow you callout ALT/HDG changes ala Lvl-D? I haven't had much luck if so.

Hi guys,I've just bought the FS2crew PMDG voice commander and let me tell you, boy am I impressed! I'm about to buy the Level D one next :( Excellent product, no complaints at all. I was worried that I'd have all kinds of problems with Windows 7 64 bit but it works perfectly.... Just one question though, have FS2crew removed the funtion where the co-pilot would automatically set tank to engine or have I missed something somewhere? I really liked that feature on the older one. I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the documentation anywhere but maybe it is (forgive me)...Thanks a lot,Jermaine...

HELLO,I am brand new at this FS2 Comander.I use PMDG 747 with Windows Vista and FSX. I also run FSX in windows mode.I uncheck pause on task etc.I am able to launch Video Marshaller from the main paner and get the VM panel.When I click on a button (i e chocks) the video screen shows up but it is blank.Also it seems to pause FSX.So I can't figure out why this is.I am not too clear as to just what the video screen is supposed to show but I assume it shows ground crews interacting???I would appreciate your suggestion on this.Thank youG2Pilot

Bryan,Actually, I'm not quite interested in VC for PMDG747, but I noticed that it includes FS2Crew (button version) for both PAX and CARGO version.Thus, if I buy FS2CREW VC for PMDG747PAX/CARGO (FS2004), will I technically have FS2Crew (with button interface) for both 747 planes?ThanksDmitriy

Has anyone else experienced ridiculously low frames while using this product. It works great for 2-3min before I hit a major drop in frames, Im talking from 20fps to like 3fps. I have it set to English-US but I dont understand why its dropping so much, as soon as I turn off the voice the sim starts to perform at good frames again. Please Help!!

Hi, Will the FO only work when the HS button is pressed providing the Headset is USB? my Headset Connection is Jacks and when I press the HS Button on the the Voice Comm panel I don,t hear the FO, I only hear him when the HS button is off, and then through the Main Speakers and only with the Engines turned right down, also I keep getting the message window "Captain off"to what does this refer ? any help appreciated, thanks, Mike

Hi everyone.The ones who, like me, are the lucky owner of the VRInsight MCP-Combo panel, will have noticed, that the MCP-Combo doesn't work together with the PMDG744X/8i Voice Commander. The reason for that is that the panel installer for the MCP-Combo, after running it for the PMDG744X writes a PMDG_747-400_Kbd.ini file into the Microsoft Flightsimulator X\PMDG directory. This file contains the keyboard commands, used by the MCP-Combo to activate it's buttons, rotary knobs, and switches. FS2Crew's PMDG744X/8i Voice Commander does exactly the same, and makes a back-up file from the MCP-Combo keybd.ini file. The keybd.ini file, generated by the Voice Commander contains key…

Hi Having just purchased your 747 Voice Command version of FS2Crew I would like to add my complements to the ones already stated, it is a great piece of software, and when this cold I have clears up I am sure I will be able to use it correctly.After having a quick test flight, which is where I found out that this cold and voice recognition don’t mix, I found that I had a very slight problem in that if you have the Flight1 EZdok Camera add-on installed then the new FS2Crew command for Heading Decrease (CTRL+SHIFT+D) will bring up the EZdok control panel if in windowed mode (even though the actual key combination is SHIFT+D), and will try to bring it up in full screen mode …

Dear all,I am new in this forum, and I would just like to say that the concept of this voice recognition is incredible, however the FO never responds to me.For example I say "after takeoff checklist" and it mentions my trim setting which I find rather odd. Is there a better speech recognition software out there that might help this problem?I have the latest update and I am using windows xp. In the FS2Crew documentation it says on page 18 that you chould uncheck the V-Spds under the PMDG options to avoid conflicts for these callouts between the PMDG built-in voice and the FS2Crew FO voice which makes sense. However nothing is mentioned regarding the GPWS setting in the same PMDG menu. Then on page 28 discussing the DH it says that you should set the DH to below 0 if using GPWS callouts and since that seems to be the default setting for the PMDG 747 and you're not told to uncheck that option in the same way as with the V-Spds do I understand this correctly that you should always keep the DH setting in FS2Crew at below 0/GPWS? I loaded up the cargo version and moused over the whiskey compass to open FS2Crew, but the curser does not change. Checked the panel config and that looked just like the one in the passenger version. Hi Bryan,I have a couple of questions in regards to the Voice Commander version of PMDG 747:1. When it comes to procedures and compatibility, does this works equally well for the cargo version as for the passenger version? Just asking since I tend to use the cargo version the most.2. Hello Bryan,I have a very annoying problem (the first and only one I´ve ever had with one of your products) wich drives me mad :I load the cold and dark panel state, do all the preflight stuff, do the departure brief, read the Pre-Flight checklist, call for "Before Start procedure", and read the "before start checklist", everything works perfect, FSCrew mode changes to "S.Crew/ENG START", so far so good now is when the trouble starts : I command "Start 4 and 3", but nothing happens, checking the green display confirms that the engine start commands are not recognized, not even the manual start commands "Start engine 4". Hi,I have a problem. When load a B744 pax version, the FS2Crew load the Cargo Version, and I don't know why. I load the PMDG from the default fs situation flight (with cessna 172). When load B744F fs2crew load the Init Cargo Version, but when I start the flight with PMDG 744 pax version, FS2Crew load the Init Cargo Version too, so I don't get FA, or any other pax feature. The picture attached is a B744 pax, CFG, I has loaded the pmdg cold and dark status panel, and you can see that FS2Crew load the Init Cargo Ver.
