The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental aircraft made in the 1950's to research speeds above Mach 2. Unfortunately the engine used was not good enough to power it to the required speed and the project was shelved after only a few test flights. This freeware version of the Stiletto has been produced for the X-Plane community by Dan Hopgood and has been fictionally equiped with engines of the correct power requirement to give us the aircraft that should have been. A quick review and flight of the Alizé which was a French carrier-based anti-submarine warfare aircraft developed in the 1950s. It was equiped with sonobuoys and a CSF radar system with a retractable antenna dome. It could also carry a Mk 43 torpedo or depth charges.
