Douglas X-3 Stiletto for X-Plane – Mach 2 run

Featured Replies

The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental aircraft made in the 1950's to research speeds above Mach 2. Unfortunately the engine used was not good enough to power it to the required speed and the project was shelved after only a few test flights.

This freeware version of the Stiletto has been produced for the X-Plane community by Dan Hopgood and has been fictionally equiped with engines of the correct power requirement to give us the aircraft that should have been.

In this flight I takeoff from Edwards AFB for a test flight and take the plane to Mach 2.
