The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Started by Comanche,

I spent today trying out Lockheed Martin Prepare3d. I have only installed a few sceneries in it so far, like FSDT stuff and Megascenery. The only plane Is tried so far is the PMDG NGX, because I figured if I can't get that to work with it, then I may as well stop there. However, it works just fine as well as do other addons Ive tried.I havent tried a lot of stuff yet so Im not sure if its a keeper yet. Textures are crisper and I have not seen any blurries yet. The best thing is I dont have to canibalize my FSX install, Im just pointing Prepar3d to to my FSX addon Scenery directories and adding it that way. If I deceide not to stick with it, Ill just uninstall it and FSX …

Think Ed's photo repaint is still one of the best AA renditions around...even after all these years! It took some work to port it to the LDS 767 (I remember working on the alpha layer for hours to get the reflections looking good), but I think the effort was worth it. I was not going to cut any corners when I applied it the LDS model, knowing Ed would have killed me if it didn't represent the craftsmanship we're accustomed to from his work. :im Not Worthy:Anyway....doing my walkaround of this majestic bird before I took her to DFW from LAX. Here is the port wingtip station....On the starboard side checking the tail section...And here is the final station by the co-pil…

By request....Still some work to do, and man it has been AGES since I threw paint at an LDS model....this paint, done in the old days when I was in a grove, would have been done in an hour. Rightseat...thanks for requesting an easy one...may have balked at something more complex...I don't really paint anymore, just seeing if I still remember how. :LMAO:Regards,Steve Dra

Gents, I've recently released the biggest project I've ever completed in my FS years. 10 out of Lufthansa's 30 747-430 fleet have been crafted by me, in my semi-high definition solution. The results are quite nice, but ultimately it's the community who will be the judge. Before anyone asks me why I did this, the reason was to provide variety to those who fly this specific aircraft routinely. Now you have a broader selection of registrations to make your flight with. And yes I do plan on reproducing more fleets in the future ;) Get the package here: http://library.avsim...=root&Go=SearchThanks! :(

Hi All,Been slowly learning to fly the NGX and while it's a deep aircraft, it's fun to get to learn all the systems etc. Managed to get in the air and play around with the McPhat AA Astrojet (OMG!) and took my first point to point flight on the -700W in WestJet colors.Enjoy the screenies!!

These are from a flight from PNW from Fairchild Intl to Jefferson Co Intl (payware addon).Passing Diamont Point (also a payware addon).Flying past Jefferson before landing. One of the things I like most of this approach is looking down that road on the right.

There is no place like Kansas (Witchita):Monument Valley, Utah:One of the most spectacular simming places I have ever stumbled upon-Colburn, Argentina:Cloud shot:Backside of the Tetons in Idaho:Catalina island with the famous sloped runway (kavx) ,some nice freeware scenery, and the excellent Beech Duchess:Speaking of which-my scenery is getting quite populated with very nice freeware. I like the way you just drag the folder into the custom scenery directory-get rid of it-drag it out-real simple!

I decided to fly somewhere else then usual and I chose Norway, a country that I visited some 13 times in my childhood. I found some freeware scenery (airports, landclass, mesh, coastlines) and I have to say it looks pretty good...! Better then expected! And all for free! If anyone knows some payware must-have's for Norway, please let me know! (I would pay big bucks for photoreal Norway, I have to say...)Here are some shots from my flight from Bomoen to Anda (both freeware airports) with the AWESOME (must-have) RV-7a from Bay Tower. Click on the little pictures for the big ones!
