  4. Let me start off by thanking all of you who attended our Cowboy Breakfast event on April 21. You did not go un-noticed. We appreciate everyone who came in to AUS and SAT for that and definetly plan to have it again next year. Not long after the event, we at TexAir decided to have a little spring cleaning session. Our airline was in some need of a cleanup. It is my pleasure to announce that tonight the dust pan and broom have been put away to reveal our new operations. It's the same iterim website, but with a brand new attitude and schedule. Our schedule was adjusted to be more realistic and logical. Yes, we still have international service, however it has been drastically…

I have created a very simple economic modeling system for flight sim users. The central feature is a forum (http://vconomy.freeforums.org) which allows users to interact directly with each other. The driving concepts are simplicity, flexibility, and decentralization. There are no add-on programs, no clients or applets or anything else. Users keep their own records however they want.Features of the system include:-"Basic Allowance" so everyone has some walking around money-Extremely flexible, user-oriented system allows you to do it your own way-"Pay" yourself to keep flying for your current Virtual Airline(s)-Easily start your own FBO, charter outfit, or other aviation-…

I am looking for a serious and experienced programmer to develop a custom ACARS program similar to the one that is used by BAV Virtual, with more state of the art features. The program MUST at the very least be able to auto submit PIREPS to our system and be able to require a pilot to respond to "cockpit checks" after a certain period of time. We would like to have this completed within 60 days. Bids will be accepted until April 21, 2007. In your bid proposal please include the below information and send it to [email protected] . I understand this will be expensive. I am serious about wanting the product and even more serious about paying you for your time and effort. Alth…

The day has come, when after a year of exhausting work and testing I can open a new virtual airline for pilots, under the name Czech Wings and operating on the IVAO network. As there are enough classical airlines in the virtual skies, I considered it important to create an unusual environment, resembling real airlines much more closely than ordinary virtual airlines. I focussed especially on the simulation of aircraft turnaround and the provision of detailed pre-flight information. Furthermore I would like to connect pilots of many nationalities into one group. Therefore, don

Commitment to his business and family life meant that he had to step back from managing the airline. He will very much be missed, but we hope that his legacy will endure through the culture and goals of the airline. MetroAir was Mark's brainchild, and has developed in a way that only someone of his knowledge, skill and dedication could have seen. This does not however mean that MetroAir is closing in any sense. In order to accomodate our new fully international schedule and the addition of our hub at Denver, TexAir has recently made a great expansion to its fleet. Our pilot ranks are directly related to aircraft categories. Previously, some aircraft CATs had one aircraft and others had two, making it somwehat unfair to different pilots. We have changed that to where all of the CATs have an equal number of aircraft.Because of this, we've also split our aircraft into three different divisions:"Texpress!" is our commuter line and features the Embraer 120 and the De Havilland Dash 8-200. We have an extremely large amount of commuter routes from all of our hubs, particularly in Texas…

We have now seen the launch of online timetables and the introduction of the ePirep service for use by all of our pilots. Here at flyintAIR we operate under regional identities, currently flyinverness based at Inverness - Dalcross, flykent based at Kent International Manston and now flynewcastle based at Newcastle International and flywales based at Cardiff International. We have in the past and hope to continue in allowing our users a say in what actua…
