Is Pimax Crystal Light a good idea to get for me ?
I reckon a new, modern CPU, a fast motherboard and 64GB of RAM on top of that won’t cost all that much. My RTX 5080 will last a long time yet; by then, other headsets will have come out. Technology is advancing. I prefer a wide field of view, which is why the Ultra is my choice. I also wear glasses, so I’ll never be able to fit my glasses under a ‘DreamAir’. And prescription contact lenses? No, thank you – then my friends wouldn’t be able to wear the headset. But there’s no rush. I don’t feel pressured to make any hasty decisions right now. Still, thanks for your input.

Is Pimax Crystal Light a good idea to get for me ?
Thanks for that. That’s more or less what I thought. Gemini gave it a similar rating. I’ll carry on using my Quest 3. In the hope that PC components will become more affordable again in the future, I’ll build myself a new top-of-the-range machine that can handle a good VR headset.

Is Pimax Crystal Light a good idea to get for me ?
Hello everyone! I’m not sure if my PC is suitable for a “Pimax Crystal Super with ULTRAWIDE” module. My PC has the following specifications: Intel i9-900K CPU; 32 GB RAM; MSI RTX 5080. Google’s Geimini suggests that my CPU won’t meet the requirements to fly smoothly in MSFS2024 and enjoy the full resolution. So far, I’ve been running the flight simulator with Quest3 and a Samsung HMD. What do you think? Will i get happy with Crystal Super Ultrawide on my PC?

WASM Crash
You can export your Simbriefplan into a *.pln - file with the "SimbriefDownloader". export your plan into the PMDG Flightplan folder. And import it in the FMS via "CompanyRoute". So i did not have any WASM Crash with Simbrief Flightplans. Most "Real Pilots" ALWAYS type the plan into FMS manualy.

PMDG B737-700 Released
I need to correct myself: I don’t use Chaseplane to switch between camera views; I use FLOW. And yes, the views in question, which are faulty, are fixed. You can’t move around within the view.

PMDG B737-700 Released
To be honest, I don’t really care about any of these views. I very rarely use an exterior view, and cabin views even less so. 99 per cent of the time, I only switch between cockpit views. After all, I’m the pilot, not a passenger. I never really use the cabin views. I’ve only looked through the views that are suggested to see if I experience the same ‘glitch’ as longhaul747. and yes, i see the same ugly view.

Need some advice fiddling with REX Atmos setting please.
I’ve loaded some of these presets. They’re faulty. For instance, the sun was illuminating the ground and the clouds, which looked beautiful in terms of colour, but the aeroplane remained in shadow even though it was thousands of feet above the clouds. So I won’t be using these presets again.

PMDG B737-700 Released
yes i cant move. Chaseplane describes the affected views as ‘showcase’ views, which I cannot change. I can move all the other views. Has PMDG perhaps set this camera view (two views in my case) with incorrect coordinates? The other showcase views are fine.

î see absolute the same in the left and in the right view. the camera is fixed, i can not move in this view...

PMDG B737-700 Released
why should WE need more 747? i am happy with all 737 in FS2024 and do not need any 747 in the 737 topic.

PMDG 737 WASM crash: can be reproduced
I’ve also experienced several WASM crashes with the PMDG 737 aircraft in MSFS 2024. PMDG seems to have an issue with imported Simbrief flight plans. (That’s just my opinion; I’ve posted about it on their forum). So I use the Simbrief Downloader to export complex flight plans locally to the flight plan folder, and then load them into the FMC. I enter short flight plans manually. Since I’ve been doing it this way, I haven’t had a single WASM crash with a 737 in MSFS2024.

PMDG B737-700 Released
Testflight was good. No troubles here with RTX3080Ti. Well done, PMDG! it is a good 737-700.

MSFS2024 Sim Rate
Did you perhaps adjust the clock in the 737? In the P3D version, there was a function that allowed you to change the sim rate on the clock. The time and rate were then displayed in yellow. Perhaps this function is also included in MSFS2024?

Fly the Line - Short Haul Edition: This looks promising
Question: What does the programm mean by a “good landing”? A comfortable landing rate, perhaps? Surely we should know that, for the sake of a safe landing, it is sometimes essential to touch down a bit harder so that the wheels immediately grip the runway, for example in very wet conditions. If the programme assesses this as incorrectly as all other programmes of this kind, then it is actually worthless.

GSX 3.8.2 update with Aircraft and Airport Handlers
Thank you for answer. so my Windows or GSX did not what you describe. I switch in Windows ALL Sound-Outputs from "Lautsprecher" (Speaker) to "Headset". So all output sounds from the Cockpit goes to the Headset, but the communication from outside (Ramp Agent) stays on "Lautsprecher" (Speaker). so im must manual set the right setting from standard away to get the output sound from Lautsprecher to the Headset. When i set in Windows all standard output devices from Headset to Lausprecher (Speakers) then again only the ramp agent output Sounds stays in the Headset. in my Opinion this ist wrong? The output Sound from the Ramp should also automatc goes to the standard output sounds like in windows. so its an output, not an input sound. That’s probably a different way of looking at it; we’ve heard about what counts as output and what counts as input, haven’t we?

GSX 3.8.2 update with Aircraft and Airport Handlers
@virtuali there is anything not correct with "default" Devices in GSX. Windows shows me ONE Default Setting: it is "Lautsprecher" GSX shows me now two default settings. there should be only ONE default setting, like them from Windows? so i have in the Audio Options from GSX this one: Comms: * Default - Realtek HD Audio 2nd output Cockpit: * Default - Realtek HD Audio 2nd output Outside: * Default - Lautsprecher. So change Windows-Sound-Setting did not change GSX-Sound settings. its the same trouble like before.

A Diamond in the Rough - Aerosoft CRJ
Yes Sir. i knew. On a screen 49" with a resolution of 3840x1080, i have to zoom out quite a bit to get an overview of the cockpit without having to constantly pan the camera. That’s why there’s a problem with the small fonts. You can’t make them big enough for me to read them properly. That’s why these two aircraft are staying in my hangar.

Same troubles on my screen. too small fonts. same troubles with the wonderful ATR: fonts too small...

GSX 3.8.2 update with Aircraft and Airport Handlers
Windows doesn’t change any settings on its own for me. I’m in charge of my PC. My headphones are always plugged in so that Windows doesn’t change anything. I switch between devices manually using the Realtek Audio Console, depending on what I need. (The app is available in the Microsoft Store and is Windows-compatible). To ensure that the various programmes adapt, there’s a sound setting for playback called ‘Standard Windows device’. When this setting is selected, the app switches to the desired output device whenever I want to change it. GSX does not have this ‘Standard Windows Device’ option. In GSX, I can only choose between the various sound outputs that are available. But GSX is the only programme that does not automatically adjust the sound output to match Windows settings. GSX 3.8.2 update with Aircraft and Airport Handlers
@virtuali I would like the following feature for sound settings in GSX: I switch the sound output from speakers to headphones depending on the time of day, using Windows settings via Realtec Audio Console. The flight simulator and all other programmes automatically follow these settings. Only GSX requires me to go into the settings menu every time and change the sound output there to switch between different devices.I find this very tedious and outdated. I would therefore like to request a ‘Default’ sound setting option so that the sound output in GSX also changes in line with the Windows settings. Thank you!

Free upgrade- PMDG 737 Animated FO now supports MSFS 2024!
Hello All! Is it possible to disable the co-pilot in only one aircraft type in MSFS2024? Disabling the co-pilot in the MSFS2024 settings disables the co-pilots in ALL aircraft. However, since there is no animated FS2Crew version for the Maddog, the co-pilot is lost in the Maddog...

PMDG 737 MSFS2024 "Mini-Review" after my first 17 flights
For me, the 738 only rolled away on its own once. But that was due to the slope that ASOBO has built into many airports, which doesn't exist in reality. When going downhill, it rolls away, but when going uphill, you often need a lot of thrust to get going. - Furthermore, since updating to 738, I have had no more problems with control surfaces not responding. No more WASM crashes either. I have already made about 10 flights with the updated 738. It's vacation time, so I have to make the most of it. - Even the stuttering problems that arose a few days after Christmas did not return. Happy Flying! transpate Free DeepL
