January 14Jan 14 Thanks. Found this earlier, too, and updated. Note that it‘ll also come with some updated firmware. At least for my MCDU and FCU. Wish that both Airbus devices also natively worked somehow with Boeing. I know that they offer explicit devices for both manufacturers and buttons especially on the MCDU would not fit Boeing but I really have neither space nor literally time to just switch devices when switching planes. January 14Jan 14 Author I too successfully updated my six WC devices, PFP7, PFP4, PFP3N, FCU, EFIS and finally MCDU. I wasn’t as brave as you and I did disconnect all my other USB devices and hubs, tho I think the next time I will choose to walk on the wild side like MaGer 1965 😇😇😇 FWIW the “Unofficial” WC Discord had a dire warning about updating MCDU. Avoid it they reported and even provided earlier firmware to (1.03) depreciate your upgrade if you had already done so. 😩😩😩. For me, I had no issues with any of the firmware upgrades INCLUDING MCDU. All is working just fine and it looks like the a340 MCDU freeze might finally be fixed. Doing a test flight right now and if it is fixed I need to find some crow to eat as I have been pretty vocal blaming ini for the longstanding bug.
