August 12, 2025Aug 12 The ground friction does not seem to vary from one surface type to another. When you taxi with a GA plane there is no difference between grass and asphalt. You should need more throttle outside the asphalt. Now there is just more bumps. What is the problem? Incomplete ground friction implementation in MSFS2024, insufficient airfield surface material definitions or airplane wheel modelling?

There significant difference taxing on unpaved runway vs paved. flight sim addict, airplane owner, CFI
August 12, 2025Aug 12 I haven't tested on different surfaces, only on the same surface but under different conditions. A test with the iniBuilds A310. Test set-up: release parking brake, full throttle, accelerate to 70 kts, reduce throttle to 0 and set parking brake (to prevent any influence from differential braking with my pedals).
