February 4, 20251 yr What are these small lights at the edge of some islands?  Lighthouses (the VOR's and/or NDB's for ships 😄). My sceneries (excerpt): LPMA Madeira (XPFR), LGSR Santorini, LRBV Brasov, the city of Fürth (Germany), several libraries, ...
February 5, 20251 yr Discovered this little feature today in the German Coastal Area between Hamburg and Helgoland - very impressed. The default marine traffic was also pretty impressive and varied which was another surprise. Edited February 5, 20251 yr by coastaldriver

February 5, 20251 yr While the light houses are fine in X-World, the buoys need some serious dialling down, but fortunately, there's this: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/298512-im-whining-about-the-lights-again/#findComment-2661664 Edited February 5, 20251 yr by Bjoern 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

Most of Northern Parts of the globe look quite credible in XPlane. Try squeezing into Helgoland's Dune airport (Max RWY length 430 metres. Built in WW2 handles a JU52, BN2 DHC6 and that is about it. Weatherwise windy and turbulent! Just the thing to enjoy the sim.
February 6, 20251 yr Moderator If anyone is interested, it comes from OpenStreetMap seamark beacons: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Seamarks/Lights It was added as a default in the World2XPlane HD scenery config, and should use red and green correctly, although I found it added too many lighthouses as well since many are incorrectly tagged. What's more impressive to me is the fact that people have took the time and effort to add these to OpenStreetMap Â
