February 2, 20251 yr Hi, I'm using MSFS 2020 with Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti. I read the FSElite article on setting up DLSS 4 in MSFS 2020 and my question would be, is it worth it? Would I see a performance and quality increase? February 2, 20251 yr Hi Ben. I have an NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super and am using DLSS4. While I haven't carried out any benchmarking I would say that I am seeing a slight increase in framerate. What is more noticable is the lack of ghosting on aircraft gauges and ground textures certainly look crisper. Hardly scientific testing but I think it would be worth trying it!
February 2, 20251 yr You would see a performance and quality increase. But not a huge one. I can adjust the slider in Pimax Play to 87 which is half way between Medium (75) and Full (100) and still not have tracking stutters. I used to only be able to use 75. So the higher resolution makes things looks nicer in VR. If I left it on Medium then I would get better fps instead of better graphics with DLSS 4. But the difference isn't huge. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. February 2, 20251 yr Or by using some of the sliders in MSFS settings, you can choose whether DLSS 4 will bring more performance, or bring more image quality. Or a tiny bit of both. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
