November 26, 20241 yr I didn't realise you need an advanced degree in logistics to get the camera controls to work! 1) Can someone please explain what on earth "Transversal" means? I know what it means in plain English but what it means in FS2024 is anyone's guess. 2) I want to set up my joystick EXACTLY how it was in FS2020 and there appears to be a camera option for this, but it does not recall any FS2020 controls 3) I just want to set my T.A320 joystick POV Hat switches so they look (swivel) up, down, left and right but it doesn't work. I'm totally confused about the differences between the so-called Transversal settings, the aircraft specific settings and what I hope to be UNIVERSAL settings. Is it possible to assign the hat switches to a permanent universal camera view assignment for (initially) ALL aircraft and then worry about individual aircraft types (Prop, twin jet etc) after I've got the basic set up working. With the "Transversal" included there appear to be 3 separate schemes and they seem to conflict with each other. I'd be grateful if anyone could provided a tutorial. Thank you. November 26, 20241 yr Moderator no tutorial but once you get the assignments you want, click the gear icon and select "for all planes". That should get you started, I ran 2020 on a second monitor and just matched the settings for 2024. The tricky part is if there are conflicts ( you see those numbers right corner of the setting?) - those are conflicts - youe resolve them mby clicking the gear icon on the line you're on and deleting the assignment - the one to be deleted is shown upper left side of the dialog box - repeat until only one left is the one you want. Not very intuitive. RIG#1 - 7700K 5.0g ROG X270F 3600 15-15-15 - EVGA RTX 3090 1000W PSU 1- 850G EVO SSD, 2-256G OCZ SSD, 1TB,HAF942-H100 Water W1064Pro 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Have to say that with well expressed documentation to use as reference the non-intuitive nature would likely disappear. Like Robert and many others, I have struggled, having a tough time setting up controls playing what-if without any MS/Asobo guidance. You would have to imagine how many support hours they could likely avoid by spending a few hours spelling it out in advance. Not a great way to do business. Hopefully this helps: "Quickview" left/right/etc is to momentarily look in that direction while holding the hat switch "Cockpit look" left/right/etc is for panning in that direction while holding the hat switch Another possibly useful mapping not shown in the screenshot is next and previous cockpit view, by default the first "next" view is the landing view that gives you a bit of the view of the nose
November 26, 20241 yr I also use Cockpit Look / External Look, up/down/left/right to pan, using my hat switch. Bert
November 26, 20241 yr Author Thanks all. Got it (kind of sorted). Only issue is I cannot get Honeycomb Bravo Gear lever to work both ways. It will accept a gear down command but then gear up won't assign. Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
