October 2, 20241 yr Author Dave, many thanks for your help I have now installed v 0.0.11 - unfortunately still the same error ! Unfortunately, AYVA airport is still not recognised! regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 2, 20241 yr Author ALL OK with AYVA 🙂 After I have converted the data again - the airport appears !!! Cool 🙂 Unfortunately, the COM problem still exists... Edited October 2, 20241 yr by ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member What language do you have set as your primary language for Windows? Try changing that to English-US. That's the only thing I can think of that could possibly hijack the display of numbers like that. Dave

I can change the language to English for testing purposes asap, but I hope this is not the solution to this problem 😉 I am certainly not the only one who has set his operating system to German! regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member You're right. We have many users in Germany. It could be some other Windows setting. I've never seen numbers displayed this way. I might have expected 124,850, using a "," instead of a ".", but moving the decimal place 2 places to the right is bizarre. Assuming you are at AYKM, have you tried putting in valid frequencies like 120.9 for AYKM Info or 118.1 for Center? Dave
October 3, 20241 yr Author Sorry, I'm not at my FS-PC right now! Yes, I've tried it, but unfortunately it doesn't work .... I can of course change the frequency in the aircraft, but unfortunately there is no connection to p2atc - changing the CPM-Frequency in p2atc has no effect there.... I will get back to you as soon as I have switched my operating system to English for testing purposes! regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member I am uploading P2A-EA 0.0.11A which has slightly different frequency formatting code. I suspect it will give the same results, but when you get back to your PC, you might want to try the update first. Dave
October 3, 20241 yr Author I have now installed 0.0.11A, but unfortunately no success..... Now I have switched the operating system to English and rebooted, unfortunately no success either 😞 What I find really amazing is that the NAV radio works without any problems! This should be the same formatting, shouldn't it? regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member Not exactly, but close. The code to get there is different. I will create an 11B that uses logic more similar to the Nav Freq and see if that works. Strangely, only you and one other German user seems to be having this issue, which is why I thought it might be something related to the Culture settings in Windows. Dave

Dave Dave, I tested something else! I changed the also region settings to english not only the language... and now it works !! ...has something to do with regional formatting after all ... This settings seems not to work : I hope this helps you... regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member Glad you got it sorted out. I knew it had to be one of the "Culture/Region" related settings in Windows. Thanks, Dave
October 3, 20241 yr Author I assume some setting from this page is relevant for this: german settings: english settings: Do you know which setting I have to adjust when I switch back to German? regards ggerolamo Edited October 3, 20241 yr by ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member Based on another user's input, I believe you only have to swap the Decimal Symbol and Digit grouping symbols. So Decimal Symbol = '.' instead of ',' Digit Grouping Symbol = ',' instead of ' '
October 3, 20241 yr Author Yes, thx, that's how it works! (But I didn't have to change anything in version 2 😉) I have one more question: I enter the frequency 120.9 (FSS) in AYKM and via Smart Pilot I am asking 'ready to copy...' - all ok but I never get any answer !? I have made this setting: Am I doing something wrong? However, there are some other problems, such as quite a few CTDs, after clicking some buttons... (Should I open a separate topic for this?) regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 4, 20241 yr Commercial Member Yes, opening a new topic would be much better so we can keep track of what's going on. If you could also email the P2A log files for these, it will help me do the diagnosis. Dave
