Fly2High RJFK

Featured Replies

Starting a new thread...my apologies on high jacking the other...

This is from a complete fresh install of v 7.8.7.  I'm a little confused since the RJFK file looks so different when opened.

The file I found for RJFK is in the folder C:\PSXT\airports\archive\thirdparty\FLY 2 HIGH.  I also have a file for RJFM...which I don't own.

What's confusing to me is that the RJFM file lists each parking spot with specific regs and flight numbers associated with each spot.  RJFK simply lists the spots.

I own RJFK (Kagoshima) but am not getting any traffic to spawn.

Are you able to help me understand this?  Thank you!

FIrst. Whether you own aan airport or not does not matter. The archive is a collection of offline learned airport files. People send me the basic -empty- file (like your RJFM). I fill it with parking options based on a week download (called learning) from RealTraffic and put it in the archive for all users to use (if they have the addon airport).

That's weird and not possible, the archive for unlicensed users does not have the RJFK.xml...  However, it does have a learned RJFM.xml.

Users with a license will find the RJFK.xml in the archive, but it is learned, not empty ..

Could you check in C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\PSXT\parameters.xml  if you see this line:

    <parameter name="ARCHIVE_VERSION" value="0.1.0" />

It should read like that.

Yes....it does.

I'm even more confused now, lol.

I guess I don't understand why the file for RJFK in C:\PSXT\airports\archive\thirdparty\FLY 2 HIGH looks so different than the other files.  Is it just hasn't been learned yet by any users?

Are you sure you have that file?. If I download the archive, I do not see such a file...

I would expect it to see C:\PSXT\Archive\Airports\my_thirdparty\RJFK.xml   (without parking options).

I did a clean install of version 7.8.7 this morning.  Deleted all airport folders and associated files from earlier version prior to install of 7.8.7.

FYI....

I do not have a file for RJFK in C:\PSXT\Archive\Airports\my_thirdparty\RJFK.xml.

Other airports I have in my community folder are in there.

I was wrong there is a RJFK.xml in the archive (overlooked, sorry)  but it is empty. Probably there was no RT traffic data for that airport at that moment (Jun 13)

You probably will have this file pointing to the empty file in the archive. C:\PSXT\Archive\Airports\my_thirdparty\RJFK.txt.

And if not, check PSXT\Output\info\AirportsScanLog.txt

I have a file in C:\PSXT\airports\archive\thirdparty\FLY 2 HIGH for RJFK.  I posted it's contents above.

There is no reference to the folder flyhigh-airport-rjfk-kagoshima in the airports scan log in C:\PSXT\output\info despite the folder being in my Packages\Official\Steam folder and the scenery showing up fine in MSFS.  Not sure if this means that PSXT isn't recognizing/finding it.  Or does it simply mean that thre is no data for the airport in my older archive version?

Please answer my question, do you have this file :
C:\PSXT\Archive\Airports\my_thirdparty\RJFK.txt.

If so, your airport is recognised by PSXT. However, the airport file in the archive has no parking options.

If not, it was not detected.

Please forget about RJFK, it is not supported for unlicensed users.

Yes...I thought I answered this earlier.

I have 512 folders containing 2052 files in my C:\PSXT\airports\archive\thirdparty folder, including one for RJFK inside the folder C:\PSXT\airports\archive\thirdparty\FLY 2 HIGH.

So there is a file for this airport but no aircraft are spawning and the text in the file looks very different from other files in that there's no specific parking position data with registrations and airline codes...see below:

My guess is that there simply is no RT aircraft/airline data for this airport...but I'd like to confirm since I fly out of this airport quite often and no static planes appear when using PSXT.

That is what I tried to tell you all the time........................... (sic)

You -being an unlicensed user -, have to deal with the archive from Januari 1st, and in that archive is an empty RJFK file.

Hence you will  see no static aircraft park over there.
