June 25, 20241 yr I might not quite understand the MAX_LIVE function I set it in GUI to 60 and hit enter (I can see in my parameters file an entry <parameter name="MAX_LIVE" value="60" />) but then the number disappears in GUI. If I fly into busy area number of aircraft increases beyond my computers smoothness but when I reenter 60 and hit enter it is reduced. In Manual it says something about specific airport and that number being related to that. Is there a way to generically set maximum number wherever I am so I don’t have to re-enter it every time I approach busy area? mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.
June 26, 20241 yr Hi mike, The MaxLive vale is overruled by the value in the airport file. Thus if you set it to 60 in cruise and you enter or land at a destination it will take the value in the learned airport file, if that is the default 300 - meaning disabled- it will mute your Max Live text . At the moment if MaxLive is disabled it still stores default 300 in the Airport file which is wrong and annoying. I will change that in the next version. EDIT: in 7.7.0 it works like this. The value in the UI is the global setting. When an airport is loaded, a value other then the initial default value of 300 (meaning disabled) is stored in the airport file after leaving the airport and the global setting is recovered. Hence people can fly with MaxLive disabled all over the world, but set at a lower value for busiy airports such as EGLL, or like you, you can set a low value that is always applicable.
