yes and he looks like one, but I think his scepticism about Pimax's promises is still valid, as this reader posted:

I think they should not rush things this time because their direct competitors won't launch anything either affordable or in a couple of years, so if they focus on making this product as perfect as possible (specially the software), it will sell much much more than the Crystal and age very well when the competition reach them."

if everything turns out the way Pimax is advertising it, this could indeed become my next headset after the HP Reverb G2. we shall see said the blind.

How powerful of a gpu do you need for Crystal light?

For the record, I preordered Crystal Light the 2nd day after preorders started. Should ship in May. EDIT: And sold my Reverb G2 on eBay.

I'll be really curious to see how it goes. I ended up with a Quest 3 last week just because it was tried-and-true, but I was very tempted to wait for the Crystal Light to come out to see how the reviews were.

Tuesday may 14, Pimax light (local dimming edition) shipping now. The non local dimming edition not quite ready to ship, but will be very soon.

There should be youtube videos very soon as people receive their Pimax Light.

I preordered the non local dimming version on April 16.

(no waiting when ordering local dimming light now).

Exciting. Looking forward to reviews/experiences from users in this forum.

can anyone with a Crystal confirm if the rate that the lens sharpness drops off away from the centre, looks as it does as in mrtv's video above? I appreciate filming through the lens video is contributing somewhat. I'd assume it two headsets would be the same? 

After using the the qpro and q3, I'm not sure I could go back to something like that, even if the centre is super good. For me, being able to read the gauges and labels in my outer peripheral vision, to flick switches (hand tracking) while I look forward, is really important. However, the q3 is the absolute minimum res i would accept and it's barely enough.

Sebastian explains about halfway through the video that the image is sharp all the way to the edges when worn on your head, it is simply due to the camera.

i've heard him say similar things like that before  🙂
