Landings are Better in XP

Featured Replies

It's better but still wants jerk down a bit. I am surprised/not suprised it took Laminar this long for the semi fix. I notice the unrealistic landing on day one of the betas, and nobody complaining about it in the forums.

It's definitely improved,  but I flew the default C172 last night and it still has a somewhat bias to plow the nose into the tarmac. Even at deliberate high speed landings with F20 (an instance where it's very easy to hold the nose off IRL but it was hard in XP, nose really wanted to kiss asphalt and the quickly rise up).

Unfortunately, the REP 172 is even worse (unless it's been patched recently).

Janov's saying that Beta 2 is likely to bring further tuning on this one:

Sounds like they used the same angular momentum model elsewhere in the sim. Oops.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...
