PSXT connection issue

Previously I didn’t need to buy a licence to connect though?

What do you mean with previously?

When I tried installing PSXT before I would get green sim connect and that’s without purchasing a licence beforehand. Perhaps the procedure has changed?

Maybe then you still had a license file from the RealTraffic app in C:\Users\<you>\Appdata\Roaming\InsideSystems  ?

So I tried PSXTraffic instead and that works fine (without licence). Maybe there is a problem or conflict with PSXT?

No there is not, you just have to buy a license. PSXTraffic also does not work without a RealTraffic license ...

Maybe you should now try PSXT (now PSXtraffic worked).

No. What I’m saying is sim connects fine with PSXT traffic but not PSXT. Why would I buy a licence if it can’t even connect to the sim?

What is the use of connecting to the sim, without an RT connection? PSXT will do nothing at all.

Two reasons. Firstly to check PSXT works with my Sim without issue before spending money on RT licence. Second, to see initial injected quality and depth of ground traffic at a busy airport (eg Heathrow)

If PSXTraffic worked, you should be fine with PSXT. Maybe there's and extra step in PSXT that it doesn't connect to the sim of there isn't a valid RT license.

If so, this would be because PSXT is providing both the PSXT injection as well as the RT connection, whereas PSXTraffic relies on running the RT software separately.

In any event, even if you get either to connect to the sim, they won't inject any traffic without an RT license. If PSXTraffic is injecting parked ground aircraft without a valid RT license, that might be a bug, but I'm not sure if that's what you're saying.

PSXT and PSXTraffic do nothing  (real and static) without an RT license.

Thank you and yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. Maybe it is a bug but I have injected traffic using PSXTraffic and I have no licence. Whereas with PSXT I have nothing (which is what you would expect without a valid licence).

If you use PSXTraffic, the license is checked by RealTraffic, not by PSXT. RealTraffic checks the license in

C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\InsideSystems\RealTraffic.lic.

I doubt that RT fails to check that, so I'd think you have a license, or the traffic you see is parked static from an addon airport?

Honestly it’s fine. I have no licence and no static aircraft. Maybe it’s just a bug, but happy to help where I can.
