I'm wondering if this is an MSFS thing as I've seen it in some of my other GA aircraft. Update: Just started a new flight using the same livery as before and this time the CDI and HDG bug moved smoothly. I haven't flown the default aircraft much at all but I've flown the just Flight Arrow a lot since it was released and it hasn't done that once. This makes me think maybe it's only certain aircraft that it happens with??? In which case maybe it can be overcome???

Adjusting the payload fixes it and once fixed it cannot be put below 0%. This has only happened twice and is not a big problem but I have never seen it with any other aircraft. See screenshot here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/udylu3fwp55ct2f/Negative Payload.png?dl=0 This is an MSFS bug and happens in all planes for me. Just nudge the fuel slider and it will correct itself. The needle does work as I can chase it without the autopilot, but if I use the AP, nothing works. This is with the "PMS50 GTN750. I use to be able to use the APP and it did work before the last update. Ditto for me, also with the PMS50 GTN750. I can track an ILS OK with autopilot but not a VOR. April 2, 20224 yr What is the issue here? Is with the aircraft systems or the PMS50 GTN750? Anybody knows? After so many update this should better unless it is the 750. Just checked the PMS50 on "discord" and after a search for "VOR", I found this; "Tracking a VOR in the Cessna 414 with PMS GTN 750 does not work with AP in NAV, but does with AP in APR. This is from the beta 1.3.2 release notes: "NOTE: VLOC NAV mode we found is not working in the PMS50 GTN750 and reported this as the TDS GTN75 works." So is this a problem that needs a fix from your side?" PMS50 "No, this is not on our side. So this tells me is seams to be going back and forth for this issue. Edited April 2, 20224 yr by rolly
April 2, 20224 yr In the release notes for 1.3.2 it states "NOTE: VLOC NAV mode we found is not working in the PMS50 GTN750 and reported this as the TDS GTN75 works." So they have reported the issue I believe to PMS50. If I want to fly VOR to VOR I will just put them in the PMS50 GTN 750 and fly them that way or fly the livery that uses the GNS 530 as VOR to VOR works OK in that livery.

Just tried it out in a couple other planes. I have the same issue as everyone else in the 414. But in all other aircraft I've tried, the PMS50 GTN750 is tracking VOR's just fine.

April 2, 20224 yr What is the loud quick and short crackling noise that you hear when you shut down the engines. I initially thought it was meant to be cooling down of the exhaust but greatly overdone. Now I'm not so sure because I can hear the cooling of the exhausts much more quietly and subtly when sat with everything shut down. So what is the loud short crackling noise when you shut down the engines intended to be? Edited April 2, 20224 yr by Sender46
April 2, 20224 yr Ok so one more issue with VOR DME. The readout in the plane (NM, KTS, MIN) where you can switch between N1, HLD, N2. Well I have the same VOR tuned on both N1 and N2, yet I get completely different KTS readings. I even get a different reading again in HLD mode. As far as I can tell, the KTS reading while in HLD mode is actually the true KTS speed. Very weird.

While it was doing exactly what I described, now that I'm closer it's reading correctly. Because of weak signal strength is my guess. Still weird to have different KTS readings in HLD mode than the previous selected NAV

April 2, 20224 yr Have some more details I noticed (probably some were already reported): - When preparing the AP on the ground, I press VS and then us the mouse wheel to dial in the climb vertical speed. If I accidentally move the mouse wheel forward (resulting in negative VS), the AP shows -100fpm and from then on it's not possible for me to properly set the VS to the desired positive value (1000fpm). Disabling VS and enabling it and turning it into the right direction resolves the issue. - Cowl Flaps having only 2 positions (open/closed) is incorrect as mentioned by others - The VDI/GS on the HSI is very hard to see, maybe it's realistic, but I have troubles with it and need to use the GS indicator on the attitude indicator instrument - Opening the small windows in the cockpit change the sound, but the sound isn't directional. Neither does it change position when rotating the camera nor does it seem to emphasize the volume of the engine that is on the side of the opened window - Opening the small windows doesn't result in depressurization. Either opening should be suppressed or the depressurization should happen - Autopilot Master Switch bound to my Joystick button in sim doesn't disengage AP - I REALLY need an option to disable state saving. The fact that this is not optional neither is there a way to delete the saved state manually is a No-Go for me

April 2, 20224 yr Question. I checked the PMS50 site and discovered there is a new version 2.1.24. Whenever a new version was available when launching one of my Carenado aircraft the GTN would notify me there was an update available. I wonder why this is not happening with the 414.
