February 22, 20215 yr Hi. I have bought the above VR Headset about 5 days ago, and all was fine in MSFS 2020 (Apart from dismal focus compared to 2D). Now all of the sudden I am getting a flashing effect which looks like it alternating between Top Down view and Cockpit view. and thus making it totally unplayable. Any help would be much appreciated.........Windows 10, Intel Core I9, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 65 ram
February 22, 20215 yr Having a similar problem here too, with my Rift S, seems like it started after a recent Oculus update. Not sure though if it's the Rift update or the MSFS update. Win 11 pro 64Bit, X670 AORUS ELITE AX, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, RTX 4080, 64Gig G-Skill 6000 DDR 5, Samsung 990 pro 2TB NVME.
February 22, 20215 yr Same here. I know there were some oculus updates lately so may be related to that, but of course we had the msfs update as well,. It seems more prevalent at the beginning of a flight but still annoying.
February 22, 20215 yr What's interesting is I've had issues of getting kicked out of the link connection constantly a week or 2 ago and I bought a new cable to no avail and then chalked it up to my usb connector on my laptop. Now I'm not getting kicked out anymore but these white flashes and am wondering if these are all related to the new oculus updates recently.
February 22, 20215 yr Author I bought Oculus after the latest MSFS UK update and all was fine. But as you guys say something has changed. Thanks for your replies
February 22, 20215 yr There's a thread at flighsim.com about it. Possible resolution is to disable the beta mode and reinstall the oculus software: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/oculus-update-warning/368202/106
February 22, 20215 yr I've confirmed the fix. No more white flashes when opting out of the beta and repairing the installation of the Oculus software. This is the version that's working for me: Oculus App Version 25.0.0.57.658 (25.0.0.57.658)
February 22, 20215 yr thanks for the heads up. Win 11 pro 64Bit, X670 AORUS ELITE AX, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, RTX 4080, 64Gig G-Skill 6000 DDR 5, Samsung 990 pro 2TB NVME.

February 22, 20215 yr Author Thanks guys for all your help. Yes the exiting of the Beta Program has also cured my problem. Thanks again
February 22, 20215 yr Thanks for the heads up. Mine was doing the same thing. Asus X570 TUF WIFI | 5800X3D | 32 GB DDR4 3600 | MSI RTX 4090 | EVGA 1300W | ASUS GT501 TUF | Samsung C49RG90 49" | Oculus Quest 2 | Windows 11 Professional X64

My rift s started the same problem Sunday and after some research several folks said to turn off beta. That took care of the problem.
March 1, 20215 yr Yep, it appeared on my system too after a recent update, very very anoying. Thanks for the solution! R5 3600 - GTX 1070OC - 32GB 3200 - NVME - 3440x1440 160Hz - VR(Quest 2) GarbagePoster™
March 3, 20215 yr Author Ok My Oculus App has now updated itself to 26.1.0.41.502, and my old Top down/cockpit. flashing view is back with a vengeance and worse than ever. In fact, now VR is totally unusable. Anyone else having this issue. I have done a Google search and it seems impossible to revert back to Version 25 which worked fine. BTW The above fix no longer seems to work Edited March 3, 20215 yr by Paulcoy
