September 23, 20205 yr There is a lot of factors in this. In looking at people's benchmarks on youtube (and there is not many) of similar systems your performance is similar to theirs. In watching their meters they generally seem limited more by the CPU then the GPU which like others said a new CPU could help and provided your motherboard firmware supports it you can do a simple drop in replacement of a better CPU and may even support the new Ryzen processors being announced in a few weeks. Outside of that you can play with your settings to reduce the CPU load and increase the load on the GPU to ensure its better leveraged. All that being said it is an ultrawide 1440p monitor I assume you are running on and benchmarks indicate you should get somewhere between 1440P and 4K in general. I am curious to know what your inflight performance is you may just be suffering from the abundance of stuff in Heathrow. Other things to check: Is your PSU properly specc'ed for your system; is your cooling adequate or is your system running hot both on the GPU and CPU, if your internet connection sufficient for the data stream for MSFS?
