Trim seems to be very "choppy". I cant set it to where a small input doesn't make the plane jump up or down. Setting issue?

I assigned my TM Warthog both trim to dedicated functions (not axis) like elevator trim down and elevator trim up. And it works just like electric trim in real life. How did you set it up?
