May 3, 20206 yr Just a heads-up that the HF1 update for P3Dv5 has caused some problems with the RXP GTN 750 -- may not follow flight plan or track the glide slope. RXP is working on a fix. There are also some problems with the RXP GNS 530. Al Edited May 3, 20206 yr by ark

Hi Jim, That's interesting because it doesn't track the GS (I should say GP) for me in the Lear35 in P3Dv5HF1, but does in P3Dv4.5. And on the RXP website there are a number of posts reporting problems, and Jean-Luc (the developer) has acknowledged he is working on an update. One of the users reporting a problem on the RXP site is Berk Pieke who is very knowledgeable when it comes to the GPS units, to say the least. Are you using the latest version 2.5.24 of the RXP GTN750? I should also clarify a bit, it was a GPS LPV approach that failed for me -- no GP tracking. I didn't check if an ILS works in VLOC. May 3, 20206 yr This happens to the RXP every time LM update P3D. The GNS/GTN works, but the autopilot doesn't follow the GNS flight plan. I believe an update is imminent. David Porrett

Al Have not tried an LPV approach, but glideslope tracking was working fine on two ILS approaches I did in the Falcon at KILG and KTEB. Have not flown the Lear in HF1 yet. Jean Luc is very responsive, and quick to fix reported problems, which is why I would heartily recommend RXP GNS/GTN products over the competition! Al Hi Al, I flew from FACT to FALE this afternoon in Flysimware's excellent Falcon 50 and using the RXP GTN 750 I experienced no problems. The flight plan was properly followed by the autopilot throughout and the LPV approach into King Shaka International also worked seamlessly. This was with the RXP GTN 750 version that was made available shortly after the release of P3Dv5. Cheers, Jerome

I'm starting to think whether the RXP GTN750 works as it should with the latest P3Dv5HF1 depends on how each a/c AP was coded. I only have tried the Lear35 so far. I don't know what a/c Bert Pieke was talking about when he reported the AP would not follow the GTN 750 flight plan. In the Lear35 case it was only the Glide Path on an LPV approach that failed. All else seemed to work. Al

V5 was fine with the RXP update, V5 HF1 is not.. the GTN is not steering the autopilot in GPS mode.. RXP is working on the next update, just hang tight for now.. I should add that it was a completely fresh install of everything. Cheers, Jerome

Cheers, Jerome I also have had no problems with enroute navigation, ILS or LPV approaches. Like Jerome, I uninstalled the GTN prior to installing HF1, then reinstalled it afterwards, using the original installer. May 4, 20206 yr Strange, for me with V2.5.24, the autopilot does not track the GPS course in NAV mode. It just heads North.. Maybe the installer has been updated without an announcement.. Edited May 4, 20206 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

If you have the Lear35, and if/when time permits, I'd be interested to learn if you get GP guidance during a LPV approach in the Lear 35. Al Edited May 4, 20206 yr by ark
May 4, 20206 yr Hi Bert, Is the GTN correctly configured as Master? I had something similar once and noticed that Master was unticked and setting it to Master fixed the issue. Cheers, Jerome
