Featured Replies

ok, anyhow a great job regarding the photoscenery for Belgium, at least we can fly perfectly VFR and knowing where we are looking to the ground at 1500ft , as VFR flights are mentioned to be ^_^

anyhow, great work, and thanks again for the great Belgium gift to the community!

kind regards

For this belgium2012, what are the setting for fsearthtiles ???

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question.

Yes, my question was quite .......incomplete hihi!

I ask your fsearthtiles setting (*.ini and main fset windows (snap mode, size of base area)), because your belgium2012 scenery is about 3.5 go in 1m/p only and because I tried to make some area of France(about the same total area size and also 1m/p) and my sceneries are so much bigger (10 or more GO !!)

anyway, what are the best setting to have the smallest bgl scenery as possible??

Alain, now I understand the nature of your question. Thanks for clarifying. I wished I could help you with that one, but I think that's some stuff for the dev itself since I'm a total noob in that regime.

Sorry, I was sleeping when writing my posts !! my question is for Gerard !!!!

Good idea on the torrent.

Interesting link. I hope all photo scenery authors take a look. That's way above my head.

Hello, and thanks a lot for upping those files

I downloaded all 13 files (took me 3 days ;D); but 7zip and winrar both complain and refuse to extract the file (file size look ok for all files). Any chance to a par2 parity file so I can find with of the 13 files is damaged ? (http://www.par2.net/)

Best regards

G

Responding to self, just in case someone hits the same issue. It looks like the last 'stable' 64 bits version of 7zip sees the files as damaged, but the x86 version doesn't (more isn't always good buy the look of it !)

G

I guess I can give you the MD5 hash for those 13 files, just in case. The upload seems to be ok since other folks have downloaded and extracted the files already.

Once I got them, I'll start trying to add the autgen.

If that works, we'll have a great belgium scenery :D

Let us know how that autogen stuff works out. Would be too easy, but one can hope.

First getting all the files ;)

at 1Gb/day at 100kbs it's going to take a while.

Where's that limit coming from? Did Sendspace alter the conditions? If so, I may consider picking another filehoster.

I recall them allowing a nearly unlimited download, but from just checking, I think they now apply very low limits. Thanks for the HU. Any suggestions for a free filehoster?

I must apologize since, when uploading, they really were fast without needing to sign up.

Good idea. I may try it soon and hope they don't alter much on the free user speeds after I took the time to upload. :(

I'm on a Mediafire upload, but that one will take time. However, I'll post all available links in a single post when I'm done. Means the new links and the older ones from Sendspace.

I just found this file at avsim.com: belgium-the-west-flanders_-autogen-v1.zip

" V1 Belgium.

Just place the TEXTURE files of this zip file in the beautifull Belgian Photo Scenery 2012 made by Gerard (GSalden) to have the whole province of West-Vlaanderen covered and the surrounding of the 6 airports.

Very nice alternative addition to the great work of Gerard!

With kind regards,

Bart S.
