January 2, 20179 yr Author Trackir has always run without fsx running .Why do I need simconnect?thanks.Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
January 2, 20179 yr Simconnect is installed when you install FSX and allows addons to "talk" with FSX. Search for simconnect.msi, also did you download the latest driver for TrackIR? If you find simconnect.msi run it as administrator and see if that helps? If any folders changed while installing the latest update sometimes that breaks the connection with simconnect. Google simconnect if you can't find it on your PC, might only be available with the SDK, so you can download it online.
January 2, 20179 yr Commercial Member So okay, no device detected means that the software is not seeing the hardware id of the camera, rather than being anything related to FSX/SimConnect. To be specific, it's the TRACKIR Software that is not seeing the camera. For this error, it is best to open a support ticket with Natural Point. Best wishes!
