April 22, 201610 yr Does this aircraft use the same old-type autopilot as the Carenado Navajo ? No, it's using a S-TEC 55, located behind the throttle quadrant (which is why you can't see it in many of the screen pics). It's a modern generation autopilot, and there's an annunciator for it built into the panel, right in front of the yoke. It's a basic version though, without additional options such as alt pre-selection. You got to start dialing quickly after pressing the ALT button though.
April 23, 201610 yr Author I tried it out on a basic direct gps route (gtn) It held course and alt The FD AP and OFF is on the panel the rest is on the pedestal sometimes 2d and VC differ. Lew HAL 9000....... When FMC's go bad........very bad
