The law has to adapt to changing circurmstances, and if that means criminalising an activity so be it it.

 

Really?  So you agree that laws should be decided on the basis of corporate lobbying, or do you think the people were clambering for these laws?  Do you think if a referendum was held the majority of people would think these were just laws?

Ah, the old false equivalence.  As you well know, this isn't really the gist of my point.  I don't want private companies being able to access personal data pertaining to me or go on trawling expeditions based on something as flimsy as an IP address riding roughshod over due process.

 

Do you think that the government should be enforcing these laws?  Are you willing to pay higher taxes to fund agencies like the Police & NCA to enforce claims by the RCA?  Do you think that the RCA should be able to access or request access to your internet history.  What about other companies or people.  If i believe that you have pirated my app, should i have the right to review your internet history?  Perhaps you believe that only big corporate entities have that right?
