June 18, 201510 yr I have the super-good looking ships, complete with wakes and smoke, working in FSX SE(tested in San Francisco Bay Orbx FTX NorCal Region). Really, really added a lot to the flight seeing Chevron tankers and Hanjiin container ships making way though the bay. However, I have no recreational boats appearing. Any ideas on why? I have boat traffic set at 10%. And the default FSX trafficBoats.bgl file, should it be renamed? Thanks, TT
June 18, 201510 yr Author Hi You should increase your setting for leisure boat traffic - the ships & ferries setting regulates the larger ships organized on routes in the files provided by this project and the default ships and ferries. PS... to everybody awaiting the new files... Still no chance of doing the upload due to extended business travelling - quite frustrating, but nothing to do about it...
June 22, 201510 yr Can't wait for great lakes shipping, it's going to be nice. It always bothered me to fly over Lake Michigan and never see a big ship. Are there going to be Coast guard ships in there as well? They have lots of ships in the great lakes. The cutters are very cool, I remember going on tours of them at the Grand Haven Coast guard festival as a kid. Steve McNitt
June 23, 201510 yr Henrik, thanks so much for the labor of love and making it freely available. This is quality stuff. I have a question. I would like to separate my aircraft and shipping traffic files. Can I put all your files in a folder and activate it in the library in the normal way? Formerly Coneman - 900+ ___________________________________________________________ If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.

You will see the Canadian Coast Guard Cutter (stationed in Sarnia) sail from under the Blue Water Bridge...and out into Lake Huron. In fact, I believe I have a few shots of it somewhere in the Screen Shot Forum. The ships are very, very detailed...you will appreciate them (I am a beta tester...)
June 27, 201510 yr Author Today is the day the new package 80 AI Ships and AI Traffic is released. Upload is ongoing as I write these lines. And to Squatdrop... The full installer combining all ships in one package will only come some time out in the future. This is freeware, so you will have to live with the job of downloading and installing - it is still more simple than WOAI... For those who already installed the other packages the new installation can be done in 3-4 minutes...

June 27, 201510 yr Author The files are now uploaded so hopefully they should soon be available here on Avsim or on Simviation. Meanwhile a few screenshots from the area close to Vancouver Island.
June 27, 201510 yr Commercial Member Have a week off for 4th of July so it will be fun to add these. So there is no full installer as first planned? Ok, so I have a muddled install from the last attempt. Can I just overwrite what I have or do I need to try to un-install first? Thx, Clutch P.S. - just gotta add those latest screenshots are superb! Such detailed AI ships. Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11), EVGA 1300W PSU Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit
June 27, 201510 yr Author For those who already installed the rest of the files installation of the new package is easy - the new files just have to be copied over and the overwrites some traffic.bgls and a sound file, but they are mostly an addition to the existing files. Clutch, if you have a "muddled" installation I would probably uninstall and reinstall depending on what you mean with muddled - it is important that the files are installed in order as the newer traffic files are much better than the older files. The first routes I did had some collisions and ships making funny maneuvers when they passed each other with too little distance. The newer files also utilizes all the ships where the older files only uses a limited number of ships.
