February 13, 201412 yr You're right, it's OSM + autogen and HD mesh v2 etc. which demands for much VRAM! And it looks so unbelievably good, especially over big cities! ;-) With my current settings, I get a good compromise between visual quality and performance. But every MB of the 2GB VRAM on my 670 is used and needed! Hey, Are you using texture compression in the rendering settings ? uncompress and try it. February 13, 201412 yr Hey, Are you using texture compression in the rendering settings ? uncompress and try it. Compression is enabled, yes!
February 13, 201412 yr Compression is enabled, yes! Try uncompressing . But that would also lead to over 2 GB VRAM and if you have 8 GB RAM then it should be fine. just try it . And if you have Surround (Like eyefinity) then don't every stop using it . Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
February 13, 201412 yr I hear someone saying that you need to load a tweaked Carenado plane before the raleigh tweak can take effect? Zicheng Cai

Going past the VRAM limit is the worst think you can do performance wise.

Honestly it's just a try, to check what is the performance loss / gain. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
February 13, 201412 yr I hear someone saying that you need to load a tweaked Carenado plane before the raleigh tweak can take effect? No, you need the plugin "dataref editor". you can change the settings on the fly and anytime, no matter which addon plane you are flying. Honestly it's just a try, to check what is the performance loss / gain.I have 16 GB of RAM, and I can give it a try, not a big deal! ;-) Most of the time my GPU usage is over 90% and the VRAM usage also, so not much headroom left. But I rarely have fps under 22. I just love the dense autogen when flying into big cities!

February 13, 201412 yr I hear someone saying that you need to load a tweaked Carenado plane before the raleigh tweak can take effect? You don't need to, but you can record the settings in the avionics.lua file of a Carenado so you don't have to manually set them each time with the dataref editor. Otherwise each time you start the sim the settings will revert to default. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
