April 20, 201313 yr Now the SSJ-100 comes to life with a lot of liveries (at venesim.com), as example: Hi! This looks great! Maybe I have missed something but, although I can get on to the venesim.com site, I cannot find the liveries download - any guidance would be appreciated, thanks. Bill

April 21, 201313 yr Thanks Ian! In my case, I try to preserve not only liveries, but also these old planes. Guess why NAC still flies the DC-6 in my sim... I particularly love these Russian/Soviet planes who have served 30 or 40 years in rough conditions and who are sorted out now sometimes due their sheer age, but often enough only due their "noise". I think that the lack of payware sceneries for (former) CIS countries has brought the developers of freeware to outstanding results. Beside UDYZ/UGEE, UGTB and UKBB, I have over 70 Russian/CIS sceneries, many of them in payware quality, and only two of them are actually payware - Koltsovo and Vilnius. This is a surprising conclusion to this thread indeed: Let's fly our old planes to new destinations. (Until the SSJ-100 is fully developed of course, it's the ideal plane for these destinations...) Regards, Harald I like the way you fly, Harald. After being in this hobby for a few years, I noticed some people are very hardcore and won't even fly anything using a livery or aircraft that are no longer used today. I love my older planes and still a huge fan of Douglas tri jets. I'm still flying passengers on my DC-10, MD-11 and 727 B) . I'm so thankful I got to fly on a DC-10-30 quite a few times (WABB-PHNL-KLAX) when I was a kid. 8hrs to HNL and 5hrs to LAX. Even a visit into the cockpit of a 767 while in-flight couldn't top those memorable DC-10 flights. I just love that plane. Nature Boy
April 21, 201313 yr Hi Maurice, the most ancient plane I have flown with in RW as passenger was a 737-200 of LAN Chile in December 2006, it was phased out some months later. Beside this - yes it's in Europe - A319-A320-A319-A321-A319-A320-A319 and so on. One has to be lucky if it is a 737-300 (last summer with Ukraine International). Regarding my flightsim habits - I fly no commercial flights, but use my planes as an excentric private pilot. So I can fly what I want to whereever I want. But if the SSJ-100 improves over the time, maybe this will change from time to time... P.S.: BTW a nice method to preserve old planes and/or liveries is to create a museum with AI planes (this one below comes with the UKKK scenery from avsim.su) or - still quite common at CIS airports - a scrapyard... April 21, 201313 yr While major orders been made by an LCC will storm airports in Indonesia in the near future, 737 200's are still easily found in large airports here (Sriwijaya Air) as well as MD 82 (Airfast) which I just uploaded a texture of one of its 3 maddogs here at AVSIM. I am planning to book a short (and cheap) flight with 732 since I didn't have the chance flying as a pax on an MD82. Airfast is a charter company, and Thai's one to go/orient airlines have ceased operating, I may never be on a maddog. Just tried tinmouse with its vc, that's the best freeware imo. So many talents and enthusiasts, especially from Mother Russia, who will keep FS2004 alive and kickin'. Btw Harald, I am still learning how to do NDB so my df727 is parked somewhere in Changi for a while.

I am glad to see there are others out there like me, who mix and match old and new aircraft and liveries! Depending on my mood I will fly anything - sometimes an aircraft I can just 'jump into' and fly and sometimes fly an airline route doing everything by the book in 'system mode'. Occasionally I will set myself a challenge by trying to operate a large aircraft into or out of a very small airfield or perhaps one with a difficult approach. At the end of the day this is a hobby - fantasy if you like or escapism - I certainly do it to relax after perhaps a stressful day's work and the last thing I want to do is to have my hobby stress me out because it has become too hardcore! But it is a great hobby and, accepting that we are not all the same, anyone can make of it what they want and use it to suit themselves, doing whatever keeps them happy! These were the days but at least this hobby can at least allow us to recreate some of those memories at least in fantasy. Bill

Hi Wisnu, you will lough: Mine is parked at Djerba/Tunisia, as I try fly with a He 111 (!) to N'Djamena, the former Fort Lamy, like some Luftwaffe Pilots of "Sonderkommando Blaich" in 1942. Maybe this will take me some days. Did you try the CIVA INS with your 727? Meanwhile I use it on almost every flight I do. April 22, 201313 yr Which model is it? Btw, TWA operated the 727-100 from 1964-1993 and the -200 from 1968-2000, following Wikipedia... P.S. Guess what I spotted yesterday: Harald Edit: I still look after a possibility to make a donation to the developer of the SSJ-100, Mr. Guinart. But as he seems to reside in Cuba, maybe he is not allowed to get a donation from overseas? Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.

April 22, 201313 yr Nice VC for this model... Thanks! Which model is it? Btw, TWA operated the 727-100 from 1964-1993 and the -200 from 1968-2000, following Wikipedia... At the moment, the model is exclusively mine. I need to (re)write the manual for it, and it won't leave my hard disk before that is done. Yes, but TWA 800 was the transatlantic JFK-CDG rotation served (mostly) with a 741 until it went out with a bang in 1996. (Hence the screenshot. It feels kind of weird encountering that flight during evening departures out of LGA.) 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

And the VC looks nice too, I have tried it, although the old liveries don't work, it is still amazing knowing the project continues.
April 22, 201313 yr Oh my, you've got to release this as well as a Canadian North livery. Outstanding work.... Thanks and yes for the release, but a definite no for the CN paint. If it ain't from the 80s, I won't paint it. (You, however, can.) Bjoern, just wanna say thank you for the hard work you have done all this time. And the VC looks nice too, I have tried it, although the old liveries don't work, it is still amazing knowing the project continues. Thanks as well. Well, I was torn between paint compatibility and paintability. I chose the latter. Depending on experience with painting and the paintkit itself (and the desired quality of the paint), you can have a new livery up and in the sim within three hours or less. This just isn't possible when you have to stitch and cut up the results before every test in FS9. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
