What is that thing? I nearly crapped my pants when I started playing this game. I don't know what it is, but I thought it was a cross between a plane and a car. (Don't diss me for not knowing what it is)For 100 years I've been starting out with the Cessna, so this was quite a shock. :)Seems like it's an end of an era for me. It was fun while it lasted.

It takes a lot of talent however to make a plane so simple to operate.Icon aircraft is a fascinating journey and the experience of the design team is impressive. Check their website. But i agree with you that i will miss my steam gauge if the future is as simple as that. They call it progres.....Cheers!

P3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...
C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...

Unfortunately, time keeps ticking; it does not wait for us.Icon is here, and by the way, it is a joy to fly.(Remember, back in the 60’s, they said that by the year 2000 there were going to be Flying cars)

Technology moves on! Not liking the look of the new/unfamiliar is perfectly human. :good:But it does not necessarily equal that what you are looking at is a toy.I think that with the choice of this vehicle as their "mascot" aircraft, MS is sending us a message.

Imagine a 737-200 pilot who was frozen in 80's who came back today and sat in an NG. "What is this thing?" LOL. Anyway, the Icon is a very cool, farily in-expensive real-world plane. . .

Not liking the look of something because its New/unfamiliar does not necessarily equal toy/betrayal
Hi Devon; I don't think these guys or me for that matter are talking about toys or betrayal.

That's why I edit so much. I do the first drive-by answer at light-speed, then settle down and think about things a while and edit.On the web, how you meant something when you typed it, and how you see it might be interpreted when you step back for a second and look again can be far different.
