FSX won't add anything to the scenery library

Featured Replies

OK,I think I found my problem.I was clicking in the big white area but not then clicking the OK box.I thought clicking in big area was in lieu of the OK box. Will have to wait til tomorrow.New unit is still at my office.

Just thought I'd add in another solution;- Open the Scenery Library and click Add Area- Browse to the add-on scenery folder that you want to add, I'm guessing something like "Las Vegas X"- Open the folder so you see the scenery and texture folders- In the Directory field to the left of the OK button, remove the part that specifies the add-on scenery folder. It should just say "X:Microsoft Flight Simulator XAddon Scenery" instead of "X:Microsoft Flight Simulator XAddon SceneryLas Vegas X"- Click OK.Works for me every single time, where the clicks in the white space is hit & miss most of the time.

Propane,

This sure worked for me.  After much frustration, I was thankful and glad your method worked for me.  What a wierd world it is working with FSX and Windows 7.

I have it working.I clicked in big white area then OK then big white area again.Don't know if I have to click in big white area before clicking OK.Will know tomorrow.I am finally to the point of copying some of my addon scenery over.I have spent a week just getting everything up to speed on new unit and am just now getting to the end of tunnel. But it looks like very worth the effort.Old unit is 6 years old.Ron
