November 10, 201114 yr Author Akila i have just cracked it you seriously wanna hear what i've just done m8, Using the sound i had originally and putting that and renaming it in to the required field in Various etc wow that is the sound m8 and the thumps get faster as you bomb down the high way lolyou mean renaming it to "PMDG_737_NoseGearGroundroll.wav" and placing it there?if true, we can add the cockpit effects to it and make another version for the user discretion. November 10, 201114 yr you mean renaming it to "PMDG_737_NoseGearGroundroll.wav" and placing it there?if true, we can add the cockpit effects to it and make another version for the user discretion.Yeah go for it Akila would be original then m8 just tested it i posted instructions in my thread as didn't want you to think i was taking over m8. I have just tried it that way and you only start to get the sound coming through passing 70 knots and it does sound very real and does get abit faster aswell. Maybe the taxiing sound would have been far to much what you think fella
November 10, 201114 yr Author Yeah go for it Akila would be original then m8 just tested it i posted instructions in my thread as didn't want you to think i was taking over m8. Maybe the taxiing sound would have been far to much what you think fella1st of all you are not stepping on my toes here at all, we are here for each other, I am not sharing here stuff for the glory and I believe you not either.so don't feel bad at all (actually I am happy that I managed to trigger more guys/girls like you to enhance my ideas, that is where I see my success is at).the other thing about the 70knots it's a gauge command from the NGX and my sound file would also only engage at 70kt.I was looking yesterday to find if there was an INI file , etc that control this but I couldn't find any.BTW - for the GRND file there is a settings and it is set now to engage between 0kt - 20kt.I am reading your post as we speak, I'll try it in the FSX and see if we can tweak it a bit to have some of the NG cockpit equipment shaking sound do to bumps on the RW (as I hear in all my NG Just Planes Video(s) in the DVD).If i have any question(s) , I would ask it on your thread as your thread concentrates more on that file (keep some order in the threads).I'll give it a shot and let you know.Great Job Steve , well done.P.S. what time zone you are at? November 10, 201114 yr ok, I am GMT+2 (Israel) so we pretty close time wiseYeah pretty much fella. I have just landed with that sound and what it does is plays as soon as your nose-gear hits the deck. then gets slower and quieter as you brake about right i think
November 10, 201114 yr Author Yeah pretty much fella.I have just landed with that sound and what it does is plays as soon as your nose-gear hits the deck. then gets slower and quieter as you brake about right i thinkyep, the same with my file.that is the NGX gauge that controls it, I would try and locate (i debut I would ) to find the settings that control the sound speed kicking in. November 10, 201114 yr yep, the same with my file.that is the NGX gauge that controls it, I would try and locate (i debut I would ) to find the settings that control the sound speed kicking in.Yeah i think we should leave that part alone hehehe Besides just tried it again and with that thumping sound on landing with your touchdown sound its very good m8 very good
November 10, 201114 yr Author Yeah i think we should leave that part alone heheheBesides just tried it again and with that thumping sound on landing with your touchdown sound its very good m8 very goodand how does yours sounds on landing? (i have not tried yours yet) Joel Strikovsky
November 10, 201114 yr Is there a way to make the NoseGearGroundroll speed related also? becasue I would love to had the thumps when I taxi as well, just don't want the sounding the same at GS 5 as it is at GS 15/20.About the sound kicking in at 70 knots, on the runway the thumps will start at a slower speed than that. November 10, 201114 yr and how does yours sounds on landing? (i have not tried yours yet) On landing you really here the thumps but as you gradually slow down they fade away which i believe is real ain't it ?
November 10, 201114 yr fade away...NoSlow down and become more and more intermittent, even when taxiing you get it. Thats why I would like you to do the ground/taxi sound speed related also. When slow speed taxi it's ...Thump.........................................................................Thumpjust before take of Thump.Thump.Thump.Thump.ThumpSo if you could get this perfect everything from GS 5 to take of in sink with GS David Murden. November 10, 201114 yr fade away...NoSlow down and become more and more intermittent, even when taxiing you get it. #Right thank you fella, In that case we need to find something somewhere were we can make the nosegroundroll play at lower speeds because at the moment it only kicks in at 70 knots and that needs to be lowered to about 10knotsJust looking into it now lads
November 10, 201114 yr Author Is there a way to make the NoseGearGroundroll speed related also? becasue I would love to had the thumps when I taxi as well, just don't want the sounding the same at GS 5 as it is at GS 15/20.we can try something (I was think about it with Steve), we can take Steve's original rip, duplicate it or even triplicate it to one file, then we can add the cockpit noise to it.then you will have two sound files, one for High speed roll and the other for slow speed taxi roll.I need to test steve's file 1st in FSX to see if it would go well (sound wise) with the cockpit enhancements.BTW - for all of you that are wondering on "Steve's File" I am/we are referring to, here is the Link to Steve's Enhancement(s).http://forum.avsim.net/topic/353434-new-groundroll-sound-enhancement/ Joel Strikovsky
November 10, 201114 yr Done it, it works and after you and you can now here the thumps and on take of there are more frequent and double up in places to make it louder as you speed increase
