Unable to arm LNAV before takeoff

Featured Replies

I think it's NG vs. Classic. Both fleets of NGs I flew you could arm the LNAV on the ground with either U10.7 or U10.8a, but not on the Classics.
Ah alright. I think he was referring to VNAV though. I assumed LNAV would probably arm with earlier versions, but VNAV wouldn't. BTW Did the classics (-3 thru -5) all come with the Honeywell MCP? Or were there also some that carried over the old Sperry (I believe...) from the -2? sig.gif

That I don't know. I thought Honeywell was Sperry. To me, they're functionally the same.

Ohhh ok. Now you called my attention there. In fact I was thinking the (very old) Sperry was the one on the -2. However I just found out that's only the SP-77. This is the one I meant: glare-100.jpg Now I wasn't aware of the fact the one in the classics (today's classics, that is, so -3 thru -5) is also a Sperry, namely SP-300 (or Honeywell apparently): glare-300.jpg I had thought this is the Honeywell and nothing else. Thanks for the heads-up, even if probably unintentional. Big%20Grin.gif So my original question was if there were classics (-3 thru -5) that still had that upper autopilot fitted. Oh, and pics are of course from 737.org.uk. sig.gif
