I would like to point out that the forums, as I write this, have over 1,625 users accessing it. I think we have succeeded in setting any fears of "crashing" aside when the NGX arrives. The hardware we purchased after the hack and the refinement of the forum software, and two guys (John and Brian) who made it all happen, results in this performance. Eveybody now please knock on wood.... Rob, I will send you an invoice in a couple of hours...

The Million Dollar question IS, Can the Download servers handle the traffic?

Goof is leaving now ;) 11.03 pm here in germany and i've to get up early 2morrow :) So one guy less who tries to overload the servers :-)

All the big wigs are coming out. Thanks for providing the Avsim forums Tom, and to the rest of the crew for the hard work. I can see David has been pretty busy on the forums these last couple days. Hopefully things will get better. You are right though, at least it didn't crash.

That's a Randazzo headache to anticipate... I don't think our rigs could handle the load at full speed. We would most likely have to throttle things back a bit.

Just as side bar...Does any one know if Twitter is getting hit like this?I'm not cell phone savvy....as long as it rings and I can dial out...
