March 8, 201115 yr No, your rams are DDR3 triple chanels, you'll need DDR3 double chanels. You "wanna" play.... make sure the board can take them...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231420The 2133MHz rams will shine with a high overclock for sure.Interesting.Thanks. March 8, 201115 yr You know what's so amazing to me:We all build our machines for FSX, complaining that we need more and more performance, but at the same time we up the details more and more. For example, 4096 clouds, LOD_DETAIL 7.5... We expect FSX to perform "good" with all those not-default-settings. I actually did a beautiful flight yesterday on normal settings (LOD 4,5, 1024 clouds, 8xS...), and I was pulling no less than 30fps all the time. Now of course I can load 8/8 clouds and couple of layers of those, sure, it looks awesome... but what's the point? It wasn't designed for that. :Raised Eyebrow: What also buggers me, will ANY game ever use HT? Is it structure problem or something else?
March 8, 201115 yr Word Not Allowed,That's so true.I remember when I first installed FSX and how great it was with Dense AG. Then after a computer upgrade, I tried Extremely Dense AG etc.Now I can't think of flying without high quality settings, payware planes, and FTX. FTX looks great with Dense AG, but amazing with Very Dense AG.Now that we have computers that can run FSX extremely well, all we need to do is be willing to pay for the new hardware.I think that our desire is there! How much money is going into this newest and greatest, and still... potentially not enough, because exactly then, we want more.
March 8, 201115 yr When it comes to computers, there's probably never going to be an end. Technology will continue to improve.Maybe, there will come a day that computers will last 20 years, just like an old TV. LOL I'm now in sim heaven thanks to MSFS 2024 and hundreds of add-ons!
