A little Heads-Up on the NGX...

Ah thanks man. I found it on a pic it is right above the wxr setting thingy!!!
Speaking of the WRX control panel, will the EFIS have Reality XP WRX integration? Not horribly unlikely even though I know it's not accurate you did make it integrated in the J41. The FS9 version had a workaround for this as seen here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/72956-pmdg-efisdisplay-nd-and-realityxp-wx500-merge/page__st__175__p__513266__hl__wrx+pmdg+737__fromsearch__1#entry513266Will you do something like what you did in the J41? If not, is it at all possible to add it manually like we could in the FS9 version? At least it looks the part.I'm terribly sorry for wasting your time if this has been answered before, i did a forum search but couldn't find anything on it.

It's on the center pedestal, the exact location will depend on airline, but I would think usually closer to the captain. The FO will also have a indicator panel directly below his clock in order to show current HUD mode indications so he can know what the captain is seeing.Cam Jones
On American Airlines 737s all the HUD setup is done from the CDU. There is a HUD specific menu in there. The menus as well as the Hud Annunciator Panel (HAP on the FOs side) are a little different from the older planes(3AA-3DL)to the new ones (3DM and newer).

Moving the control yoke with engines off and without hydraulic pressure is extremely tough. With hydraulics on and sufficient pressure, moving the control yoke has a normal feel to it.
It's actually not as tough as you might think. It's pretty common for wind or jet blast from behind the plane to blow the elevator upward causing the yoke to come back in your lap unexpectedly (and usually when you have something in your lap). You just push it back and it is a heavier than with hydraulics on but not hard. Now trying to move it with no hydraulics in flight, that is freekin tough.

I can see how that is the way it is. On the ERJ, the elevator isn't hydraulically controlled so on the ground it was pretty easy to move back and forth. When one tried to move the yoke left or right, it was a different story. I know nothing about the 737 except that when I tried to move the yoke left or right, it was just as hard as the ERJ. Is this correct in saying it is harder to move the ailerons than it is the elevators with out hydraulic pressure?

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Where do you guys work? Sounds like you get to play with airplanes all day!

Interesting... we're at the point now though where we're gonna have to stop modelling all these options or the plane's never gonna get released, there's literally hundreds of them possible on the airplane - maybe we'll add this in a service pack or something, but for now it's just gonna be the HGS control panel on the pedestal.

Ryan, your statement makes it sound like the 737 will not be out of the hangar for Christmas.I think if not, it would be nice if someone from PMDG would let everyone waiting for the 737 know it will not be out this weekend. JeffG

As far as I'm aware the HUD control panel on the centre pedestal in an NG is the more common installation, so it's probably the best choice for an 'average' aeroplane. If you worry about modeling every airline's CDU software options on the PMDG NG, you'll probably need a hundred different versions LOL, especially bearing in mind everyone's going to end up repainting the thing in their favourite airline anyway, so it'll never be absolutely as per the actual aircraft most people choose to simulate, but after all, you did model it based on a real one, so that's good enough for me.Frankly, I'm just impressed with what a top notch job you appear to have done with simulating the projection collimation, so where the mode selector switch is located is neither here nor there to me. :( Al

you never should of assumed it would be out by then... They never announced that they have started beta testing yet...

Do you remember F-19 "Stealth Fighter"?...This was my "real" first simulator. I spent so many hours with it, mastering every single aspect of it - to reach the pearl - mission in Central Europe, starting with shooting down MiG-29, MiG-31 and Su-27 with a gun, followed by destroying everything I could on the ground around find with 12x MK82AIR..... I made it back on fumes and I won the Congressional Medal of Honour... I had monochrome monitor, and the engine sound was so terrible, I was usually shitching it off. Those were the times... :(

F-19 Stealth Fighter was freakin' awesome! I don't think I played anything quite like it til Falcon 4.0 came along. I got the Congressional Medal of Honour for some epicly flukey mission where I just chucked the 'stealth' part of the mission and went rambo against the entire opposing side.Oh and how about the theme music! That was so cool...Seriously though is there a modern equivalent of F-19 Stealth Fighter? It was a good balance of simplicity and immersion.
