March 11, 201016 yr Shame A2A still won't resend me the serial number to reinstall that B-17 after I lost it in a HD crash some time ago, even though I bought it. They've never responded to any emails I've sent them, and I've sent plenty of them. It's a great FS add-on, but I can't even use it even though I'm a legitimate buyer.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 11, 201016 yr Author They've never responded to any emails I've sent them, and I've sent plenty of themAlThe mail respond isn't very well, you are right!but have you ever posted in their forum and asked for help????You know, that mails can end very simple in spam...So, if you haven't asked in their forum, there's no need to blame A2A.I'm sure, they'll help you! March 11, 201016 yr Trouble is, I was registered in their forum from when I originally bought that B-17, and then they rejigged themselves as A2A and the forum changed a bit. As noted I lost some info in a dual HD crash (both the main HD and the one I had back ups on), so when I tried to log into their forums, I did not recall my password as that too was noted in a file on the same HD that crashed. But when I tried to register again on their forums, I got a 'sorry, this email address is already registered' message, which means I cannot post on their forums, even though I am registered on there, because I can't log in! Thus the only other option was to send them a few emails, which as I say, they never replied to.So there you go. I know that me losing my serial in a rather unfortunate dual HD crash is not really their fault, but one would like to think they would have responded to my email plea, because apart from one other FS weather add-on where I have experienced the same problem of not being able to reinstall it because of a lack of email response, every other flight sim add-on I've ever purchased as a download was able to be reinstalled by the process of sending emails to recover passwords and such, with only two occasions of needing to purchase an extended download to get the install exe back (that being the PMDG 747 and the glider sim, Condor), and believe me, that's a lot of FS add-ons I was able to recover!I've been quite a champion of their B-17, and remain so, as it is excellent, but as it stands, I cannot install it even though I've bought it, and there appears to be nothing I can do about it since I cannot get on their forum.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 11, 201016 yr Chock,I lost my Spitfire download that I bought from Shockwave (A2A) three-years ago. I went on their forums, posted my story, and within a day or so had a free re-download. This was about two-weeks ago.Get a new account on the forums, post your story, be prepared to give some info in private PMs with the mod, and see what happens. All in all, I was treated very well by A2A. I hope you get the same service. :( ___________________________I'm just flying for the fun of it.
March 11, 201016 yr Chock, I make no claims either way for the quality of A2A's support (I certainly hope it's good, I just bought their Piper J3 last night), but I thought I'd offer this tip. Not sure if you use Gmail or not, but if you don't, it's a good idea to get an account (free) and set it up with a strong password. Then, have your product registration information forwarded to it, or mailed there directly. Create a label called 'product registrations' or the like, and then finding serial numbers is a simple matter of typing in the name of the product in the gmail search box. This way no matter what happens on your PC, your reg. info will always be secure and retrievable. Sorry you had such trouble with A2A's support :( i7-920 @ 3.2ghz | 6GB OCZ DDR3 @ 1600 mhz | GTX 580 1.5 GB | 1TB WD; 750GB WD | X-Fi Audio | 24" Dell LCD | X52 Flight Controller | REX-GEX-UTX-FTX
March 11, 201016 yr Okay, I will give it another shot. Like I say, I've got a lot of time for A2A's products, and I'd like to be able to use em!Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

March 11, 201016 yr Same story: 'your email address is already registered' - I've sent their board admin an email, like I have done numerous times in the past, so let's hope I get a reply this time.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 11, 201016 yr Commercial Member You can't register on a forum using e-mail that is already used by different user account. You have to use another e-mail. Alternatively, when you try to login on a forum, there's a standard option "I forgot my password", that will send your password to the email used upon registration. Have you tried that for your old account? There is a chance that all your emails from the single account you are using got somehow classified as spam and nobody at A2A is able to receive them. These guys are IMHO one of the best, if not the best in the industry when it comes to attention to details and building a realistic plane behind the visual model (which is great too).I don't think i'm gonna hold my wallet for too long when this one comes out... :(P.S. Looks like it's time for me to add "Accusim addict" signature to my posts and start looking for help :( Regards, Radek
March 11, 201016 yr Someone has evidently kicked the server or something, I just tried that 'send me my password' option and it worked this time, I've just had an email. I've no idea why that never worked before, and believe me, I've tried it lots of times in the past, it's not as if I had trouble remembering my user name on previous attempts in the past, since my user name is simply my name!Oh well whatever happened. I can post a question about it on the forums and have just done so. So if anyone saw this thread and unlocked my email there or whatever, or helped in any other way, then thank you.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 11, 201016 yr Well, A2A got on the case really quickly, gave me a new download link and the good old B-17 is back in FSX again. Just have to download the repaint I did for it ages ago from Avsim's file library again, and all will be well. So a big thank you to A2A for getting me back in business, now I've just got to wait to cough up for that AccuSim malarkey, and yes, I will be backing it up LOL.Check out that repaint I did here if you like guys: b-17g_once_in_a_while.zipIt'll be nice to fly that baby again.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

All to often, this type of thing happens, messages get lost, can't reregister, etc and the frustrated user complains mightily about the company but never really tries to resolve the frustration. You did and got good results.I have always found them to be a class act so glad you got it resolved.Vic RIG#1 - 7700K 5.0g ROG X270F 3600 15-15-15 - EVGA RTX 3090 1000W PSU 1- 850G EVO SSD, 2-256G OCZ SSD, 1TB,HAF942-H100 Water W1064Pro 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
