Hello All So I am mainly a GA pilot, but i am fed up of the standard FSX GPS systems and I am looking at purchasing Flight 1's GTN 750 GPS, it looks incredible. I do have a few questions though, - How easy is it to integrate into the Navajo? - Can it also be integrated into the Pilatus PC 12? - Are there any adverse effects in Carenado aircraft when the GTN is used? Thanks for any advice

"2,575 r.p.m. at 310 hp. from sea level to 15,800 ft. altitude. Maximum 46.0 in. hg. manifold pressure cumulative total with automatic density control and altitude adjustment. Do not exceed the following manifold pressure limitations: 46.0 in. hg. manifold pressure at and below 15,800 ft. altitude, 31.0 in. hg. manifold pressure at 24,000 ft. altitude. Straight line variation between points given." Both the Type Approval and Lycoming engine manual for the PA31-310 with TIO-540-A2C fitted as modeled by Carenado state the above limits. Accordingly cfg file should state max rpm=2575, maxMfP=46, turbo altitude 15800. The engine has an automatic density controller …

Simmarket has it. Not sure if it'd be an improvement or not but I thought I'd mention it... http://secure.simmarket.com/arezone-piper-pa31-310-navajo-hq-soundset-fsx-p3d.phtml

Hi, Based on my positive experience with the F406, I decided also to buy the PA31. Nice airctaft, but I wonder if anyone else experiencing the same... : When flying during night, the AP-buttons (ALT/NAV/HDG etc) are not light at all. Basically it is a hit and miss action pressing the buttons in the complete dark. Did I miss a lighting button somewhere or are the buttons indeed not light at all?

Hi I am posting this issue here to see if anyone else has had the problem. I purchased the P31 for P3D about a month ago. Installed it and everything worked fine. It's a very good a/c - one of Carenado's best in my opinion - and I was very happy with it. Then I decided to install P3Dv2.5, and noted the recommendations to do a clean install. So I deleted P3D2.4, including all addons, installed v2.5 ,and then set about re-installing my addon sceneries and a/c. Everything worked fine until I got to the Carenado P31. When I tried to install it and used the key previously provided by Carenado, I received an automatic message indicating that the key was invalid. I tried an…

Can someone tell me how to get the GTN750 to couple with the auto-pilot? There is no vertical guidance on an LPV approach. Is there a way to make this work? Thanks.

Do the landing lights actually light up the runway? Mine don't. I have the Navajo installed in P3Dv3 and have "Landing-lights illuminate ground" enabled in the P3D "Lighting" config screen. And this is at default airports. There is also no click spot on the GTN750 bezel to pop it up. I know I can pop it up another way but like clicking on the bezel. How do you get the GTN750 to couple with the auto-pilot? There is no vertical guidance on an LPV approach. I caved and bought this. Why did I do that?

This is the email I sent to Carenado re V1.1: Good Evening, I have downloaded and installed the latest update for the Navajo, released today. I'm sorry, but the update falls way short of expectations. 1) The sounds were not adjusted at all. This is an immersion-killer. 2) The ADI is better, although still slightly off 3) The lights were not touched (particularly the landing lights - they are the same) 4) The autopilot is still unrealistic for an aircraft with a GTN installed 5) The manifold pressure (max) was not touched. This is a 2 second job in the cfg file, but was ignored. 6) The shaking on shutdown is only marginally improved, if at all. And two items I didn`…

How do you get these to work? Clicking with the mouse has no effect. In fact I have just discovered that I have the same problem in most of my other Carenado aircraft - all except the older ones. Mouse clicks work as expected in all my other aircraft. What am I missing here? I guess I haven't done much flying recently with Carenado - they are quite a come down after Flight1, RealAir etc. Thanks. Bruceb

Just purchased the PA31 Navajo and I like it so far. I'm trying to figure out how to install the GTN750 in the VC as I have seen on line. The integration on-line looks pretty seamless (looks like a Bert mod). I thought it would be easy to replicate using the F1 GTN Configuration but it's not working. Well, it does work but, it's not integrated in the VC. Anyone know who to integrate so the GTN750 replaces the original unit in VC?

Anyone getting any weird graphics or OOM issues with the Navajo? A couple of my friends have had some strange behaviour since running the Navajo, and I was close to an OOM last night on a flight, which would be a first for my system. Anyone else experiencing anything strange like this?

I wasn't in the market for a twin but I'm in the mood to do some island hopping. Been looking back and forth at these two airplanes. Personally, I think I'd rather have the Navajo but, honestly, the 404 looks better. Fewer bugs, at this point, nicer nightlighting, better views. What sayest the community?

Hi all, I noticed this Navajo seemed underpowered from what I remember. I found the problem. The manifold pressure should be about 46" at full throttle. This Navajo was only getting 40". At first I thought it was a hardware problem, but it turned out to be an incorrect setting in the aircraft config file. You can fix it by opening the aircraft config file and find [piston_engine]. Under that catagory find max_design_mp=40. Change it to max_design_mp= 46 and save the file. It will make the airplane behave more like the real deal.

While in cruise flying around 175 knots the pitch attitude on the left ADI is about 5 degrees nose down. The rights side ADI is at 0 degrees. I'm thinking 0 degrees is about right. I couldn't find a pitch adjust for the left ADI. Does anyone else notice this? Thanks Scott
