Aviation and Flight Sim Video Forum

Have a real world or simulator video that you would like to show to the community?  Here is the place you can do so.  Please, no links to monetized content on other sites e.g. YouTube, Rumble, etc.  "Monetized" means you or someone else is being paid for views and/or the video solicits people to subscribe to a channel where the content provider(s) is/are being paid for views.  See the pinned topic at top of forum for additional guidance.  Videos must be embedded in your topic.  We want to be able to just click the start video arrow.

  2. Inspired by the soundtrack "Mystery Box" by Amir Marcus and Stephan Fischer, this cinematographic presentation captures carrier operations and the F-14 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Best with headphones and/or a large screen TV!

  4. At 10.31 am, on 30 June 1956, TWA & UAL airliners collided mid-air over the Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA, & crashed into the Canyon. All 128 people on the airliners perished. At the time, it was the worst aircraft accident in the USA. It shocked the nation & the world. It led to the eventual radical improvement in ATC through changed procedures, new technology & more personnel. Hope this video helps us to fly even more safely.

  8. Hi Everybody, Work continues on the fog spill and night lighting effects while the flight deck is down for repairs. I hope to be back up by Friday. In the meantime, I'll continue working on lighting effects. If you'd like to try my night lighting edits, here is the link. https://it.x-plane.to/file/388/x-plane-12-night-lighting-edits

  9. Hi Everybody, Since the earliest the flight deck will be back online (replacing power supplies) is Thursday, I figured I'd work on my night lighting edits and Fog Spill effects in X-Plane 12. I takeoff from Newark (KEWR) and land in Kennedy (KJFK). Still a work in progress, but is looking pretty good with my Dim light sets.

  12. Hi Everybody, The flight deck is still down, I had a power supply go bad. I had them close to nine years so I can't complain! I ordered two replacements, they are here and ready for installation. The gentlemen that will be doing the install is busy until next week, so I'll be down a bit longer. All is not lost though, I've been working on my night lighting edits and they are coming along nicely.

  13. Come see this sad video about Australia's only mid-air collision between two civil aircraft in IFR flight. It happened in 2020 & took the lives of four people including my own CFI. It should never haver happened. We'll look at the circumstances of the accident & what's been done since to help prevent the same sort of thing happening again. Again, the Swiss Cheese Model of Accident Causation applies here. Hopefully this video will help those of us who fly for real to be even more safety conscious.

  15. Hi Everybody, One of two power supplies in the flight deck has failed so I've been grounded. I can't complain really, the power supply has been running on and off for almost nine years, that's almost double the warranty period. Since both are almost nine years old I decided to swap out both of them, they have been on order and arrived tonight. In the mean time, I decided to continue working on my night lighting edits. The latest version 3.2 is available with a link in the video description.
