FS2CREW: DEFAULT 747 (FSX/FS9)

After installing FS2Crew and getting it running on the default 747s in FSX, I wanted to see if it would work for my add-ons as well. I aliased my panel to the default 747-400 as well as the sound files to the 747 default sounds. When I run the simulator, FS2 Crew panel seems to work fine (I didn't run the entire thing-only the FP) but there were no aircraft noises (i.e. engines were running but no sound) although FS2Crew noises were present. I checked my sound files to make sure they were named correctly-I even copied and pasted the exact sound files from the default 747-400 into the sound file for my add-on. I did the registry checks as said, and made sure I had all of the programs. When I start up the 747 in fsx, I receive the engine sound and this is continuous, regardless of whether my sound is on or off. I fly the 747 in multisession online every night and this sound can be very irritating in that it interferes with the voices of other pilots online, especially if their voices are not very clear.Is there any way that I can block out this sound? I find I have this sound and the sound of the 747 when flying.

When going through the before start checklist and the FO calls out "Passenger Signs", no matter what I do or what I have done in my pre-flight, the response from the pilot is always "Oops, not set. Let me set them now." I've already tried setting them both to "On", the No Smoking to "Auto" and Seat Belts to "On", but I still get the same "Oops, not set" response.Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?Thank you.

Are there any negative consequences to moving a plane farther along in a flight plan, to skip the boring hours of cruising, either by using the Map, or FSNavigator or Slew, or something along those lines, or do I have to fly the entire flight in FS2Crew "as is"? I believe I read that I can increase the simulation speed to 4x or 8x, but I'm not sure.The reason I ask is because I was flying the default tutorial from RKSI to Tokyo yesterday, and I finally got up in the air and was cruising fine, but I use FSNavigator as my GPS, just to track the flight, but not to fly the flight plan or anything (no real interaction with FS9). When I load the situation file for the training flight from RKSI to RJAA, my A/C lines up at an angle of 45 degrees to the jet way -- even if I correct this before starting FS2Crew, I always get a building crash with reset to beginning of flight on pushback.Is there a special AFCAD I should be using? Is it possible to merge the default 747 version with another 747 I have in my hanger? I prefer the eDimensional version I have.

I have installed crew correctly and set up the buttons and 2d mode as default and I go to load the tutorial and it looks like everything is fine it loads like normal except for the whole screen being black on the loading screen its in a smaller box. Once it gets to a 100% the screen keeps flickering and the master alarm keeps telling me to pull up but nothings loaded I dont see a thing. Really frustrating. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

"Game"... 'dem fighting words around these here parts... :-)You can fly anywhere in the world with FS2Crew; you're not limited to the two tutorial cities.Just do the same thing you'd do in the tutorial flight, but use different cities.Let me know if you require further help.Bryan

The installer puts the Situation and ATC flight plan files in your My Documents folder, FSX sub-folder.Documents and Settings***User****My DocumentsFlight Simulator X FilesCheck there. I have looked through many forums to try to find the answer without success.I am trying to use the INTEGRATED SIMAVIONICS GROUP 1 (ISG1) instruments with FS2CREW default edition on the Default 737 in FS9.I installed ISG and created a separate entry so that I could use the default 737 with these instruments. This worked fine.I can also use the default 737 with FS2CREW as normal.However when I combined the two programs, if I try to use the 737 I get a CTD with the error message that

I am stumped by how to use ATC with FS2crew. The manual says use the default as the FO will not do it for you, but the dafault gives a different call sign and initial altitude. And it speaks over other messages. How does one work it?

Hey Crew! When using FS2 for FSX default... everything goes well until I try to do my checklists. Example, I am ready to do my pre-flight or before taxi checks. I push the appropriate checklist button and I receive the yellow indicator, but when I click the main button, which I assume is the same button only below the yellow indicator, the yellow indicator goes out and NO checklists are read. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I watched the PMDG tutorial video, but I still cannot get ANY checklists to play. Any ideas?

Hi there Bryan, really getting into this.....one minor thingy, I used the fo for takeoff the other day, went well, in two further flights since then, in fo takeoff mode, when main clicking rotate, he doesn't....is there something I'm doin wrong, will they only do this turn about, or am I not setting this up properly perhaps..maybe the trim is not set correctly, what is the correct trim setting for takeoff anyway?CheersChris

Not sure what I do to trigger it, it seems to happen at random times.Sometimes mid procedures on the ground.Sometimes midair. I don't particularly "do" anything else during that time apart from change camera views every now and then and deal with ATC.I then save and reload the flight and start FS2Crew again skipping the pre dep events.Is it possible I am somehow stopping FS2Crew.I bought FS2crew from simmarket a week ago now, would that include the patch?Another question I have is regarding the FA / PA buttons.The FA button just gives me a busy tone, not sure what I should be able to do here?The PA is pretty straightforward, just wondering about those emergencies or the …

I am preparing to fly from CYYZ [Toronto] to ZWWW [urumqi-Diwopu Airport in China]. It is at 2125' or 648m above sea level and the runway 07/25 is 11811' long and can handle a B474 Freighter at MTOW. The flight will be 11h 41m according to FSBuild. I will be flying Canadian Airlines.Question 1. How do I add an airport such as Urumqi-Diwopu to the list of available airports, as it is NOT one of the choices currently available.Question 2. I'm really lovin the program..one small question....I notice the increments on the alt, speed and heading bugs on the ap have altered slightly....eg the alt goes up in 1000's, the heading in 10's etc, how is this put back to the default settings?Chris

Can someone inform me on how to turn off, the default FS2Crew start sound when you load the 747 for fsx? It sounds like a low apu, wind thing that is constantlly on, and when you end a flight, it still plays. What shal I do?

At this stage I'm still at the stage where I use an ATC guided ILS vector approach.Not very familiar with SID's and STAR's, does FSX even have knowledge of these? Hi Guys.....well, I payed for and downloaded fs2crew 747 and am unable to get it going....I sorted the first issue which was the issue of the registry.....now the issue is when loading the default 747 with fs2crew running and the panel in fs2crew mode, when i get to 82% loaded, we get the Microsoft we have a problem notice, do you wanna send to Microsoft etc etc etc.I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice....on both re-installs I notice when loading the 747 i was not asked about trusting the publisher of FS2 crew....I wonder if that has anything to do with it....if i try to load 747 thru the already in place tutorial flight, it goes almost straight to the microsoft messa…

Purchased the product the other day, certainly like it.Problem I have is though that when I save a flight and then come back to it the next day I can't quite get fs2crew to work properly.It seems like I have to start back from FP which results in engines etc being shut down and doors opening at 33,000 feet.Is there a way to continue a saved flight with fs2crew? There aren't any clear instructions for this specifcally that I could see?Thx
