  1. I was a former X-Plane user that switched to FSX. Now with XP10 being released I am eager to try again but I am so happy with the immersing look that I can achieve in FSX that I don't want to be let down in XP10. I am not talking simply about graphics but more so about the color and feel of the world. The ENB series does great things I believe and could really make XP look better; is it possible to have ENB in XP?
  2. I am excited to get back into the XP world as I left it last Feb. The MU shots make me dearly miss that bird. Cannot wait for the new XP and new MU2. Now lets just hope our computers can handle all these new toys and it comes out in time for XMAS!
  3. Gotta, say that is some nice flex shown when that wing strikes the ground
  4. two totally different animals. Both in conjunction in my opinion.
  5. Which will be met with the same arguments I am sure. MFS will always cater to a larger market IE many that do not fly seriously therefore I doubt aspects such as the flight dynamics will be addressed with Flight. They simply wouldn't sell many copies because little Johnny can't get his 747 to take off from his local FBO. It may be XP10 V. Flight but I think it's going to come down to the same differences. Eye candy V. realistic flying experience.
  6. Would you also care to share ENB settings if you are using?
  7. From a past X-Plane user; I don't think FSX has anything to worry about. I swore by XP and said I would never return to MS simulators because they left me feeling like it was a game (I had only experienced MSFS 98/2002) and didn't know about add-ons etc. I also was running a Mac so naturally I migrated to X-Plane. I loved the flight dynamics and looked past its graphical flaws. I then decided to build a new PC to better run XP..by this time I found out what FSX could do in terms of a prime system and tuned add-ons. So I figured I'd install it and see what I could do with it. I haven't started XP since Feb. 16 2011; literally. XP will always be a niche market I believe and the add-on world just hasn't caught on. There are a handful of decent payware planes available but they do not fit in with their surrounding when all you see are weirdly placed Ikea buildings everywhere and strange 2D looking deer running across the runway. I personally don't believe Austin Meyer has the ability to rival MFS atmosphere. I think XP will always lead in the flight dynamics aspect but probably will end there. But who knows. I don't know a whole lot about XP10 but word is going around the current FSX devs are going to be also developing for XP10 so we will see. If the flight dynamics of XP could meet the graphical power and add-on magnitude of FSX then fasten your seat belts because XP will be barreling through and I will gladly hitch a ride.
  8. Shade and ENB are completely different in my opinion. ENB doesn't add such contrasting/dynamic shadows on the ground or even in the cockpit. ENB simply darkens or lightens blurs/doesn't blur and is constant. With Shade shadows move with your position. It's probably a poor way of explaining it but I don't know how else to put it. Shade looks great stand alone but when you combine it with ENB it is just that much better. For $11 I highly suggest it so far.
  9. I am finding that if I don't use the enb ini he has included; I get a glitch. When using my own enb files, shade intermittently works and there are two occasions in which it is obvious. When looking straight ahead I don't get an effect. When I pan left all of the sudden it will take effect, pan back right and it disappears. Also when on an outside view, shade only takes effect if I right click and the menu pops up, as soon as I exit the menu shade disappears. When using his included ENB there aren't any problems and it looks great. His ENB has a bit too much blur to it, I can't read my gauges. Definitely worth the $11 price tag I must say.
  10. That was awesome. I wish I had the guts/resources to live my life this way.
  11. Just get ENB series. That alone is a game changer in my opinion.
