I have learnt that there are som quality issue with this headset which is due to the glas lenses being difficult to get exactly right. So you might ask how big is the risk to get a headset with minor flaws like dead pixels or distorsion in the display ? Google AI estimate that risk to be about 5-8 % and Grok AI says it is more like 15-35 % and that Google AI is wrong It is reasoned that customer with minor flaws do not clain warranty because of the trouble So my question for Crystal Light customer is. Did you get a headset with minor flaws such as slight distorsion in the display or faulty pixels ?

I think in your case it is because of your CPU. It is listed as minimum requirement which usually is not good. The GPU is listed as best experience. Pimax told me that my CPU is recommended.

It seem I get contradictory statements here. Many has said Quest 3 is far better then Reverb G2. Reasons mentioned are better lenses edge to edge clarity

Do you mean PCL out of the box or with extra headstrap ?

So no big difference in comfort between Reverb G2 and Quest 3 even with additional headstrap ?

It is clear that extra products are needed for these headsets. To find out which are best to select I have tried Chat GPT and given up there. It recommends a product as best and then changes it to don't buy it. When I ask for Crystal Light products it gives links to Quest 3 and keep repeating this mistake. So which comfort improving products could be considered as mandatory ? And which one are best to buy ? After selecting this how would Crystal Light compare to Quest 3 regarding comfort ?

Do you mean the sound in the Reverb is better than the sound in the Quest ? I also use VoiceAttack. Is it not tricky/uncomfortable to have both a headset and the Quest with its extra headstrap on the head ?

Make it more comfortable then the HP Reverb G2 ? I actually find HP Reverb G2 somewhat uncomfortable

So you don't experience any increased difficulty in reading text and seeing small details or ? And you have not connected the network to your computer through cable but are fully wireless ?

What do you mean by additional router ? Could I not use the one I already use ?

The AI has pointed out that the G2 is better when it comes to reading text in a cockpit and the Quest has softer edges slight blur and require more focus. Is that something you think you recognise. I actually find it difficult to read text in DCS in jet on the lower side panels to left and right.

Are you referring to the less expensive Pimax Crystal Light ? Even that is far more expensive than the quest and although it clearly has better display it seem also come with a list of disadvantages

It is true that the distorted view through the propeller disappear. But instead I got other problems. Part of the terrain flickering. Worse performance (also a google search warned about this) Then at start my view is close to the floor and I have problem using the menus. Are there no center view command in XP12

I try the XP 12 demo with Cessna 172 G100 in VR with a HP Reverb G2 headset. The view through the propeller is flickering with a distorted view as a result. What could that be and what setting could fix it

I have now tried the demo. And with the default G1000 Cessna 172 I could notice some stutters around KPDX which I don't see in MSFS2024 or XP11. Also in XP12 in VR the view through the propeller is heavy distorted and flickering unlike XP11 and MSFS2024

I have MSFS2024 (and XP11) and thought about XP 12 since it is on sale. But I have one concern. I have seen information that performance in XP 12 is worse than MSFS2024. I use VR in my simulators. How well will my system handle XP 12 in VR ? My system CPU 5800X3D Graphics card NVIDIA 4700Ti RAM 32 Gb VR headset HP Reverb G2 Will performance in VR be an unpleasant surprise compared to MSFS2024 ?

For me I had access to another G2 VR headset that had problem with the picture. When I connected that the 422 error was gone and no longer any problem with the picture. So to me it seemed that it was my headset that was faulty
