VIP Airbus A340-300 - Up and around EDDF/Frankfurt...

Featured Replies

Today, I wished to do a quick flight with the Updated Airbus A340-300 VIP Edition from iniBuilds. The (luxurious) interior of this airliner is fairly well rendered (see screenshots; Espresso Machine and Walk-in Shower included... 🙂...along with flowers, fruits, and champagne on display, around the cabin...) ...

For this test flight, I lift off westward from Runway 25C/EDDF and land back on the same runway in the reverse direction on (ILS) Runway 07C/EDDF. This (hand-crafted) EDDF/Frankfurt scenery, here, is by GAYA, that came (default) with one of the MSFS Updates.

I've also shown a few pictures of the premises and buildings around this airport, including a couple of those massive Lufthansa Technik Maintenance Hangars (I spotted several on site in this GAYA airport scenery). From my past transits through Frankfurt, I distinctly recall catching sight of the (hangar) building in my screenshot #4 from the end, as the Lufthansa (long-haul) airliners would make their touchdown and taxi into Frankfurt airport. However, probably more interesting, is the so-called "Butterfly Hangar" (screenshot #3 from the end), with its unique (and distinctive) butterfly wings in the structure...a building that can accommodate the A380 or multiple B747s.

Hope you enjoy this collection of images of this long-haul stalwart airliner...pictured on a very short (test) flight here...!

[Note: I suffered my first ever "WASM" crash on an iniBuilds a/c today...on the final approach to Runway 07C of this flight. That's why, I do not have any landing and touchdown pictures below. I will re-try the flight another time. Prior to this VIP addition, I never had any WASM crash on the iniBuilds A340 (or any other iniBuilds Airbus a/c, for that matter) ...Oh well...Anyway, this A340 VIP is indeed a fascinating (business-grade) update of this large (quadjet) Airbus variant...]

Thanks for viewing...!

Terrific set! I like the fruit bowl and other nice touches.

Thanks for the comment, John. Glad you liked the set of images...and the interior shots... it's nicely done by the developer...

I zoomed into that fruit bowl a bit, and it looked rather realistic...healthy snacks on a long-haul trip...🙂...

Cheers...!

Nice the way you had an appreciative eye for both the biggest items (the Technik hangars) and the smallest (vases and bowls.) A welcome viewing break from shoveling...two snow dumps in 24 hours and we're in the middle of a third right now. 🙃

Appreciated the thoughtful and kind note, John…🙂…!

Yes, those massive Lufthansa Technik (hangar) buildings were the first things I would always catch sight of just before touchdown and taxi…into Frankfurt airport in the morning light, just as what you see in my images…if landing on the favorable runway…so, they are easy to recall…

And with MSFS Drone camera, it’s also easy to look around the cabin. I need to fine tune my Xbox controller a bit more, but it’s pretty handy for such purpose.

Oh…those B2B snow dumps are something…! I think you in PA are getting more snow these days than us in Chicago area. It was a bitter cold (and windy) day around here, but the snow accumulations being thin, I planned to let it melt by itself from the driveway, while choosing to pilot the VIP A343 today…🙂

Fine set, thanks for sharing !

Very luxurious features in that A340 !

cheers 😉

Andreas:

Many thanks for the kind words…🙂

Yes, a nice BIG BizJet, well-replicated by iniBuilds…

We’re now eagerly waiting for the ToLiss/Aerosoft A346.

You're welcome P_7878! 🙂

The great Toliss Airbus productline is available at all time for you and all other simmers using the most sophisticated X-plane flightsimulator.

As far as I know it's even overall or partial approved by Airbus themself, I don't have precise information on that.

The aircraft is a "state of the art" model for the Airbus World X-plane offering a complete Airbus productline.

Also available is a Airbus productline for X-plane created by Jar Design including an A320/A330/A340-500.

This is aircraft offering high quality interior/exterior modeling and a good performance for those like me who do not really

need a "study level" aircraft as Toliss for the Airbus family and of course the budget is different.

I myself am using the Jar Design A320 for X-plane 11 and the A340-500 for X-plane 11/12 successfully since longer.

For X-plane 12 default a brandnew A330-300 is waiting for all simmers offering a nice start into the Airbus world for free.

Also included are 6 other new aircraft offering good quality and performance and this is X-plane, it's all there!

Our special offer as longtime simmers to everybody who wants to establish a new X-plane platform for these aircraft

is some assistance for a nice startup of the entire new simulator at anytime you prefer!

Professional help on every matter around flighsimulation is provided every day at X-plane.org including a large section

of freeware downloads and a store offering quality aircraft and more. X-plane.org is the undependend community website for X-plane.

Cheers

Andreas

Nice recap of XP, Andreas…!

Indeed, XP remains probably the most viable option now, who might be looking for an alternative from MSFS.

My days of seriously considering XP was during my late FSX years, but otherwise, I’ve been exclusively a MS Simulator user, since FS2002 till MSFS2024…🙂

pmplayer, here, is probably in the same boat, having decided to stick with MSFS2020 for now…🙂

No doubt, though, that XP has made significant advances in recent years, especially in XP12.

A good synopsis in your write-up…

Thanks.

Thank you P_7878. Yes, but it's more the other way around because a most important change was to go to 64-bit sims from FSX/P3d 32-bit. OOM.....CTD.....

And this was very early XPlane 10 and 11. And today it's XPlane 12 and 2020 which can do it and really not the "Career" Sim 2024 because

of all these problems regarding  compatibility.

PC: Ryzen 7 3700x AM4, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3060 12GB, Storage SSD 3TB, HDD 8TB, USB 8TB, 2 Screens, Win10-64

SIMs: FSX SE, P3d 3.4/4.5/6.1, Xplane 10/11/12, MSFS 2020/24, Aerofly FS 4

And to further explain this here, it's rather new. Some people have watched that we longtime simmers can easily improve our flight experience

by using a so called "Career" flightsimulator like 2024 but currently we cannot do it because of a lack of planes and liveries.

This will be improved soon they say and than we can study it all and improve our performance in the future and do it all right, very helpful. 🙂

After 20 years of flying in the sims we now have the opportunity to learn it all again....
