August 31, 2025Aug 31 The iniBuilds A350 SIM package includes all the 3 variants of Airbus A350 (A350-900, A350-900ULR, A350-1000). So, in this post, I fly all these 3 variants, centered around Cape Town International Airport (FACT). Air France is shown in take-off action from Runway 19. Finnair is shown in steady altitude, skimming over the picturesque mountains around Cape Town, that form the backdrop to the city, notably including the iconic, flat-topped Table Mountain. Finally, British Airways is shown in the landing phase, touching down gracefully on ILS Runway 01. Now, what are the main differences among these 3 variants of A350? A350-900 vs. A350-900ULR (see Graph in shot #10): The main difference is that the Airbus A350-900ULR is an ultra-long-range variant of the standard A350-900 (otherwise visually identical), designed for longer flights by carrying significantly more fuel and having a lower payload (fewer passengers and less cargo). A350-900 vs. A350-1000 (see Graph in shot #11): The main differences for the A35K are size, capacity, and power. A350-1000 is a longer, higher-capacity, and more powerful version of the A350-900. And significantly, the A359/A359ULR are both powered by Trent XWB-84 engines whereas the A35K is powered by Trent XWB-97 engines. Visually, the A35K can be distinguished by its main landing gear, which has six-wheel bogies (vs. four-wheel bogies for the A359). So, you can easily identify the A350-1000 in my pictures below...🙂...However, the A359 and A359ULR are visually identical, and hard to tell apart, especially since you cannot see the pax nor the range in my pictures. So, see below for a hint...🙂... Hope you enjoy this collection of images, in this (single) post, of all the 3 variants of the A350, which are simulated/offered in the iniBuilds A350 package. Moreover, the mountainous coastal scenery of Cape Town is also quite breathtaking despite not-so-high mountains, which I found rather interesting too, rendered reasonably well-enough in MSFS, to make it all an enjoyable sightseeing tour from above...in the cockpit of an A350-900 (standard), so, there is your hint for the A350 variant of Finnair...🙂..., Official Airline of the Santa Clause... Thanks for viewing...!

I did the SimBrief loop (from (FACT) Runway 19 back to Runway 01) a couple of times with the Finnair and British Airways. The Cape Town vicinity, with its peculiarly shaped mountains mixed in with pretty (coastal) residential localities, and, of course, surrounded by the two big Oceans...🙂...indeed seemed like a most unique and beautiful place... Cheers...!
