Q8 pilot losless scaing

Saw it yesterday, and was about to post it here when I thought to myself I would rather not 🙂

I run XP12 and FS 2024 at 30 FPS, either using Riva Tuner or Vsync in the games and then limiting FPS in NCP, and I really like the AA in both sims.

Anyway, it's always good to try.

A friend tried it with some games his daughter plays and said WOWOWOWO!!!!

I'm not a big advocate of frame generators either but in Q8 presentation he made somewhat enticing to check out.

So far, I am getting worse performance on my system with LS.

System Spec 1: Nvidia RTX 4090,  AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Res 5120x1440, HP Reverb G2
System Spec 2: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT, Intel I-9 9990K, Res 3840x1080, HP Reverb G2

I invested all my savings in Lossless Scaling now that version 3 has been released with even more improvements.
What to say, it's magic! My GTX1070 will last a bit longer.
Color me happy

Can you paste the screen shot of your Lossless setting?

Sadly, Lossless Scaling works only on one of three monitors in a three monitor system. Just like XEnviro, a very disappointing purchase. Read before you buy...

Steam allows you to refund the purchase if used less than two hours, no question asked.

I am seeing a new option in the Beta 3.0 called "Multi-display mode" on/off.

Well, it has gotten better since I first tried it. I installed and tried today and the lag between the main monitor and the side monitors is noticeable but usable. Before it was a much bigger lag. I will fly a sortie with it and see what it does. Zibo sometimes goes to 19fps in flight on my 3 monitor system, so that hurts.

I don't think that setting enables scaling on more than one monitor. According to the popup tooltip for that setting:

For multi-display systems, disables automatic unscaling when the window loses focus, making it possible to use another display while scaling.

So, yes, you can use more than one monitor but only the window that you selected when you activated scaling will be scaled.

The switch "Multi-display mode" does work to let the mouse move between windows. That's about it. The main monitor is accelerated (tricked) but the sides are normal, that's why when you turn your head the sides lag behind the main.

So this is placebo at best on a three monitor system. Once the f-act/f-sim goes to 19.9 it does not seem to help and is probably making things unstable.

I am parking this along side of XEnviro for now, maybe in the future an update will fix things.
