Autoload destination airport from flightplan file

Featured Replies

I miss the option that the destination airport is automatically loaded from the last flight plan file. Is this option no longer available?

Greetings Andrew Bowler

See the release notes of version 8.1.1.:

Sep 23, 2024, version 8.1.1
·         Removed hidden parameter FLIGHTPLANS_FOLDER.
Too complicated with all the different flight planners these days.

OK, thank you. Too bad. It would be nice if it would at least work for the MSFS format. I have always used it together with the Simbrief autodownload.

Yes I know, but with the addition of the EFB lately (in PMDG aircraft), users no longer have to use the Simbrief downloader, but let the EFB load the flightplan from SimBrief.

I'm with airlinetycoon:

I use Simbrief and PMDG EFB but I always export MSFS pln file so it will be available to PSXT - I also miss Autoload destination. I guess it's not that big of an issue...I just haven't gotten used to not having autoload so I always forget to enter the destination airport in PSXT until I'm almost at the destination or already on the ground at destination.

There are a few other aircraft besides the PMDG that need the download - AS CRJ for example.
But what about the other way? Is it possible that PSXT could access the last Simbrief FPL via an API and then set the destination automatically?
