September 27, 20241 yr Some info here from a pre-release news posting a few days ago. The aircraft is in the marketplace as of 26 September 2024. Features realistic systems, visuals, and flight dynamics, as well as some systems sounds. Engine sounds are default. Update/"patch" to show visible weapons on pylons should be coming in days. https://www.aviasimhd.com/mig-25-foxbat-coming-soon-to-msfs-marketplace/3435/ Edited September 27, 20241 yr by STK
September 27, 20241 yr Author Update (if anyone cares)... The existing F-111 weapons patch on the Aviasim website will also enable weapons for the Foxbat when installed. An updated weapons patch as well as flight manual is due next week (but they have a very in-depth tutorial video on youtube, as well as built-in interactive checklist).
September 27, 20241 yr Grabbed this. Looks good, had already emailed them re manual so good to hear this. Haven't worked through the video yet (don't like those things generally, usually too much "do this . . . oh, that doesn't seem to work, I'll try this" going on but this may or may not be different. Just tried on hot start and it got going ok, felt "slower" than it was indicating but as I say, haven't read any instructions yet. Not bothered about weapons myself, but great to have this aircraft in the sim. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

So the tutorial video is actually produced by the devs, and it goes into accurate step by step detail on how the systems work, leading the user through a full flight from pre-flight through touchdown, with a focus on different aspects of the plane along the way. I had it up to 80K feet at Mach 2.7 or so the other day. Note: There is a sim limitation when getting up to 80K and above where your engines may cut to idle. The devs can't get around that, but as that is around max ceiling anyway (and you can zoom climb higher briefly with full function), this error and limitation is almost a feature in that it simulates the negative effects on the engine exceeding the ceiling could have. The video has some important tips about airspeeds, and some other handling concerns, so it's worth a watch.
