However, it also depends on the area of the world I'm flying in at the time. There lies a difficult and time-consuming job, testing OOM situations with regards to FSX settings at different spots around the globe. My last OOM was San Francisco, CA., USA. Settings were 3/4 and not maxed out. I've since lowered the settings. Orbx global/Orbx SoCal/NoCal Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700F 32.0 GB memory Windows 11 Home Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060

Orbx global/Orbx SoCal/NoCal I also have these installed and sometimes it can be difficult to fly in these areas with some addon aircraft without the dreaded OOM warning unless the various settings are dialled well down, in particular AI which I often dial right down to zero when flying in the Orbx regions. I also have FlightBeam KSFO and combining that with Orbx NoCal adds to the VAS usage and can leave very little available any addon aircraft you might be using in the area. Indeed if I am using something like the PMDG 777 from or to KSFO then I often choose to deactivate Orbx NoCal completely with my scenery configurator and just fly using OpenLC NA. Using FSX with addons is unfortunately basically a balancing act between all the demands placed on it and still keeping within the 4GB VAS limitation! Bill
